I really don’t mind it am i level 3 or 4… at all. But why is it so hard to maintain the level 4 since OW2 was released? In OW i was level 4 for majority of the time and for some periods even level 5. Since OW2 was released, i am CONSTANTLY going up and down between 3 and 4, why?? I am not leaving any games, i am endorsing and i get endorsed. Why am i not able to keep level 4 and why is it constantly going down to 3 then jumping up to 4??

because people dont usually endorse others. especially with newer people who dont notice it OR get boosted from silver to GM and think their the best player ever. the ones who would endorse themselves if they could. keeping endorsement 4-5 has always been a challenge though, thats why it was so rare to see someone with them.

I reckon they mucked up the system when moving to 5v5. Anyway, my endorsement jump between level three and level four has also been annoying me since OW2 came out, so you’re not alone there.

How do you even HIT 4? My endorsement level has literally gone down even though I’ve been endorsed every game.
Cause 4 and 5 have automatic decay. So if you’re not being endorsed frequently, you’ll drop down to 3.
Basically if you even want a shot at hitting 5 you need to receive at least one endorsement every single match, every day.
Fun Fact! I once got endorsment 4 in one game just to lose it the next.

All levels have decay. You always have to get x amount of endorsements per game to keep your level. Other than 1 of course, since it can’t go lower.

I’m usually sitting at 4, and that’ll last for a week or two. Then for a few days I’ll go back to 3 till I hit 4 again.
Basically if you aren’t getting consistent endorsementsfor nearly every match played you’ll lose 4 quickly.
I’ve been endorsement 4 for months and have never hit 5. I think 5 is a myth at this point. lol

I had endorsement 5 for years, but I definitely didn’t enjoy Season 2 took a month and a half off decade to 4.
It is no longer a big deal, doesn’t net you currency just BP exp.
Was more feel good when you got lootbox reward for endorsement behavior.

I’ve decayed from 4 to 2 this season. Even after getting multiple endorsements per match. Feels off this season.
It can go to 0 if you’ve returned from a ban/silence at least on OW1. Even questioned a guy in VC about it and his attitude reflected that, he didn’t change. But apart from that I don’t think you can decay to 0.
I have a habit of almost never endorsing people who are level 4 or 5, and I always prioritize people who are level 1 or 2, so they can get to level 3.
But tbh they don’t mean anything. I’ve seen some pretty toxic people who were level 4. Level 5s have always been cool tho 
It’s confusing because I’ve been endorsement level 5 since Summer Games 2018 and I’ve taken multiple months off Overwatch due to burn out. Not once has my endorsement level gone down to 4. Maybe my endorsement level is bugged and I get to keep level 5 forever lol.
Shortly after getting the Cyberdemon title in Season 1 I took a nearly 3 month break from Overwatch because I was SO burnt out, but I came back and still had my endorsement level 5, and I still have it to this day somehow.
(Considering I’m a Bastion main with over 1,300 hours played on him I should be endorsement level 2 at most 
)
I think they forgot to adjust for the lost player in ow2. I haven’t been 4 since season 1 but it’s not like it matters anyway, 4k XP is a bit useless.

20 endorsements among 10 players.
OW1
36 endorsements among 12 players.
Cutting a 3rd endorsement person from everyone really made lv 4 much rarer. I usually slide between endorsement 3-4, and now its perm 2-3. Lv5 is much rarer I think I have only seen like 2 or 3 people at best. While lv4 even is exceedingly rare.
The window between levels is always really tough. If you’re not getting a couple endorsement every single match, the level decays (the higher the level, the faster the decay).
The only thing that kills it quickly is if you leave matches, but that doesn’t sound like your issue. Though know that if you are in a group, and your group leader pulls the team out of a match, that counts as a strike against you as well. Even though you didn’t click the button.
Other than that, play support, don’t be rude in chat, try your best and have fun with others, compliment good players on either team, endorse others and try and have a laugh. Do that on a constant basis and you’ll get to 4 and stay there, and eventually get to 5.
Ultimately it doesn’t really mean a whole lot, except as a personal thing if you are wanting it. If you’re generally indifferent, I’d not worry about it.

I remember getting just 1 xp during season 1. Who know’s what other backend issues they’ve had since.
If it’s anything like it was in regular OW, you need an average of 4 endorments a game to keep it. And I’m not sure if they changed that around when they took 2 people out of a match.
Which doesn’t matter much anyways, as it’s only half a level of of BP at most
(I also believe the endorsement reward is every 3 or 4 weeks.)
