It depends on what you consider a fun tank vs the majority of tanks.
If you find him fun, that’s great!
Most people don’t find him fun to play as or against. I would much rather go against D.Va than Mauga.

I think that you made a mistake here. You used high skill ceiling and Mauga in the same sentence. That’s like saying Moira is aim intensive.

Honestly, Dva players on the forums anger me.
Dva players have complained about the beam thing for ages, and no matter how many buffs they give her or how ridiculous she becomes, they act like Dva is the worst character in the entire game, unplayable, and still needs multiple mega buffs just because of Sym and Zarya existing.
The real reason why Sym, Zarya and Moira come out every time there’s a Dva is because she’s extremely irritating to play against and not fun at all to vs. She eats up almost everyone’s ults for free, has a potential teamwipe ult, an extra life, an instakill on mech recall for some stupid reason, a very good chase skill and consistent damage that requires no reload.
Even if they give her beam resistance while DM is active and then nerf her a little, she’ll still feel oppressive to play against because of all this.
I’ve always hated playing against Dva, even in OW1.
Fun for the player, not for anyone else. Extremely hypocritical to hate on Mauga when he’s the same as Dva in that regard.
