Why is doom still dumpster tier?

all the game sense and mechanical skill needed to play him is nullified by spam. why?

Because he was a mistake that never should have been introduced to the game. Either he’s dominating the living life out of everyone since that’s the only way to make him function, or he’s dumpster.

Therefore he shouldn’t be in the game as a playable hero. It’s a typical case of favour the shooter.

Because his kit is at odds with what makes fps games fun.

as long as you feel that way about every other DLC hero then id support your opinion. but doom is by far the most interesting hero in the game

I could say the same thing about Brig. But both should be reworked to viable and healthy for the game

Is that why doomfist had always been below average and played by the onetricks only at the highest levels while being the only DLC hero who never got meta for longer than a month?

because people hate flankers. whats weird to me is that they hate genji and doomfist WAY MORE than tracer and echo… even though those two are a lot more viable and better than the other two. but yet people find genji and doom op but the other two? not so much

You could but they are boosted by brig and Itll hurt a lot of boosted players’ feelings :(((

You know they couldn’t boost themself with any hero but brig so yeah brig needs 24 more buffs even though she already is a power house in higher ranks.

Probably because the majority of the vocal and non-vocal playerbase don’t like playing against a hero with CC tied to every ability, and a feast-or-famine character made to feast more is not fun for many people other than the Doom player.

Also the bugs that he’s had for years that for some reason haven’t been addressed to date probably play a part in that, but there’s obviously more to it than that.

why do u always mention his bugs lmao, u cant be anti everything doom is then try to act like u want his bugs fist to act like youre non biased.

Because Blizzard decided to create easily the worst designed hero in the game.

Keep him bad or make him not objectively awful for the health of the game. Those are the two options

Well how do you expect to get him to operate? He’s a melee, his entire kit is around landing the punch. In a game where most heroes deal damage from a distance.

So either he has to be completely dominating when he lands, or he will end up in the dumpster. Because if something is slightly off or bugs out when he lands, he’s dead. Toast.

That’s why I consider him a mistake that shouldn’t have been introduced into the game as a playable hero. It’s not good for the game nor that hero and its players when the design is so flawed that he either stirs massive hate or is just a filler slot on the roster that never gets picked.

The thing I find crazy about people who hate Doom compared to someone like Tracer is that he has way, way more counter play. People think he is a one shot machine when he isn’t. One stun and he is dead. Not to mention all but three heroes have a stun/movement ability they can use to escape the combo/punch.

Balanced wise he is one of the fairest in the game, but people will find a way to complain.

Name more than one occasion doomfist was dominant.

I’ll wait.

doom players have way more heroes to complain about than reverse

Oh for heaven’s sake rubs temple Note to self; don’t argue Doomfist on the forum.

I’m saying that his design is such that either he has to dominate or he will be dumpster. Stop taking everything as a personal affront.

play it safe, don’t argue at all

Yeah… except… he doesn’t…

There are multiple changes the hero can receive and doom will never be dominate with his number of counters. He will just be more playable to his mains.

Particularly when it’s about Doomfist, I swear those mains wear their ā€œnot metaā€ badge like a freaking shield.
