I know it’s crazy that someone would pick a hero who isn’t currently super OP. I mean who would ever join a game, and play a hero they actually like or enjoy playing! It makes no sense! This is a video GAME and if you’re not sweating your butt off or playing the absolute most optimized way, or want to have fun with the GAME then totally in the wrong right?

Not sure what rank you’re playing at, but character with ridiculously high skill floors are rough to play with at lower ranks.
here’s how it goes with those high-floor characters:
someone picks them up and are terrible, cuz high skill floor.
person practices and they are low ranked cuz their character is hard.
they finally achieve basic competence on that difficult character, and they climb.
in lower ranks the only time you’ll get a good Doom is during those few matches where they’re climbing out of your rank, and generally you’ll get Dooms that are learning.

this is true but what I am wondering is why now? what happened for everyone to suddenly pick up doom? like sure, hes one of the good tanks right now but even in gm, meta doesnt really matter and especially for tanks, you just counter pick anyway so he is used for a fight and then is useless again
They don’t want an actual explanation they just want to complain. They were told why people pick the tanks they pick and they wouldn’t accept it. Doesn’t matter what reasoning you give they’re just going to say “no it’s not why aren’t you answering my question wah wah!” It’s just another mid level player looking for a scapegoat or anything to blame for their losses.
