It can’t be because they think it makes the game better, the only reason is because it’s been a part of Mercy’s kit from the beginning.
But this ability is horrible for the game, I don’t like rez either, but I’d take rez any day over the damage boost.
It has and will continue to create balance issues with DPS heroes, makes the game incredibly boring as a dps player if you’re having to play against a pocketed dps.
And if it’s mirrored the game largely becomes who has the better pocketed dps.
This ability just needs to be completely removed already, it’s been long enough.
