I was diamond when I started playing today and every match has been so horribly balanced with leavers, placements, poor comps and sooo much toxicity (understandable)
Now I am 2700 and each match gets worse, I just want to get back to my skill level so I can have fair matches. This doesn’t feel fair at all
Most of the time I feel like it’s people who are just playing to earn a few golden weapon points before the season ends.
I really wish they would allow QP to earn golden weapon points to stop it.
Funny enough, I went on a winning streak near the end (yesterday and a bit of today).
It’s really just luck with your matches.
The week after a season starts and the week before it ends are always going to give you a higher chance of poor games. More people will be in the queue which leads to a much more diverse pool of skill levels for any particular rank.
I, personally, believe that End of Season is just for the CP and not for climbing.
To earn CP you have to win.
Because there are some people who are trying to finish their placements before the season ends. Most players who do placements this late do it just to get golden weapons, they don’t care about winning. They just want to finish their placements.
The last few days you have people stressing out to hit season high rating or get up into that next level bracket and it makes them more toxic then normally. They will tilt faster due to time constraints. This also attracts trolls who have hit their highs for the season and don’t care where they end.
So you have this big grouping of:
It all just comes to a head in the last week. All the pent up frustration that’s been slowly coming to a boil over the season due to slow or low SR gains just bursts and makes the last week very bad for comp.
Incorrect because players still get the end of season rewards.
Because most people are set in their current rank and aren’t trying to climb. Some people will try new heroes. And you also get a lot of people who don’t play Comp just doing their placements before the season ends.
Thats how it’s always been, no matter what rank your at.
Sounds about right, I admit I do hold a lot more on winning because of the limited time left to climb
I was talking about people “throwing because they only want the rewards”. If it was for the rewards, they already earned it, no reason to play at all. If you want some extra CP, you need to play to win.
You get a lot of people who don’t play much at the start of the season and the end of the season. These people’s ranks do not reflect their skill because the system has not had time to bed their SR down. So you get a lot of one sided games.
Well, someone’s gotta lose that SR.
