Why is Brigitte so insanely good?

She’s the one hero I can palpably feel at all times, she’s impossible to kill, destroys all flankers/dive tanks, and stops ults easily and often.

Well, it’s actually the hanzo rework that caused this meta. Before new hanzo hit live, more heroes were viable than ever before. Look at part 4 of owl.

Brig is good in MM-ing. She is a pub stomping hero. In OWL where people have coordination and composition she is not that great. Also Hanzo doesn’t help.

hmmm Brigitte was designed to counter Dive Meta and Flanker i really dont know why she can destroy Flankers and Dive Tank who are in the Dive Meta. I really think this is a big issue plz Blizzard nerf Brigitte because she is doing her job

Dallas fuel destroys with Brigitte what are you talking about ? She is insanely good. Need more nerfs than 1 sec increase in shieldbash.

She feels strong because unless you’ve massively changed your hero pool, you’re fighting her with heroes that she naturally does well against.

In the current meta she exists more as a deterrent for picking Dive heroes than a hero who exists as a core part of the team, since she provides literally nothing against Zarya/Hanzo wombos and you’re better off picking another DPS (especially Widowmaker) to kill key targets before Grav/Dragons happens.

They are using Pre-nerf Brig and they are mostly fighting Dive comps with an Anti dive comp

They got 4-0 by Gladiators. They did beat Philly but Philly has only gone against easy teams so far. Philly’s strength in this meta isn’t really known.

One thing I don’t see being mentioned about Brig, is her not needing to reload. She can basically fling out close-range (not melee range) attacks without stopping or delays, whereas pretty much everyone else (even Doomfist, a melee oriented char) and pretty quickly too.

This gives her an incredible advantage at short range, IMHO. If I were balancing her, I’d think about giving her an “ammo” pool to her mace extension. She can do melee strikes with her mace for a certain amount of attacks, after that, the mace won’t extend to full range, but only melee range. After she “reloads” (it might be a wait period, rather than a triggered reload, for eg) she can do full length attacks. This wouldn’t affect her rocket mace attack.

I think this would tone down the aggressive Brig playing, and force her to be more defensive, which is more in line with how she’s specced.

Because you don’t want to learn how to counter her.

Some people say it’s her thighs but it isn’t that alone, this is a team game and you need synergy and combos. Her thighs combined with tiny waist is a powerful combo

No, since his swings are so slow they basically have a pause inbetween them anyway, which can be exploited. That is basically a reload, IMO. Brig doesn’t, she can Stun, strike, strike, strike, strike, Stun, Rocket, ad nauseam.

Even “reloading” by switching to shield would be an improvement, IMO.

Let’s give D.va reloads too while we’re at it. And Rein now has a Fuel tank on his back, to keep the rockets in his hammer boosted. Blocked damage fills the ammo of his hammer.

His swings are slow because they do 75 per hit in a 180 degree arc in front of him. Her swings are fast because they deal 35(?) damage per swing and she doesn’t have a 180 arc, hers is more like a 30-45 degree arc in front of her.

There are maps where she is a complete monster… Lunar 1st point is one I can think of because they’re forced to brawl with fairly limited spots to harass her from range.

Otherwise… I’d say don’t allow her to brawl. If you just keep fighting her at a range where she can’t brawl, all she’s can effectively do is guard a support and throw an armor pack at someone.
