Why is Ashe's aim so inconsistent?

Like, there are shots I KNOW i hit, but it never registers. Is it that hard to develop a hitscan?

I have the same problem. I know for a fact there are shots that should land. Blizzard has made no mention of it though so maybe it’s just in our heads lol.

Ashe has been bugged since released.Currently there’s nothing wrong with her hips fire. Idk who on the dev team thought it was a good idea to put ashe’s hip fire and aim down sights on 2 different coding

Record your game and rewatch it. If the connection icon shows up a lot during the game, a lot of your network packets saying that you fired your weapon at someone probably never reached the server. Game uses UDP, not TCP, Sombras and Orisas ghost throws tend to happen because of that.

Ashe aim elements have been problematic since introduction. Hopefully things get sorted.

Currently, Ashe doesn’t appear to be 100% hitscan. There seems to be a very slight delay in her scoped shots that travel. I doubt this was intended, but it definitely isn’t pure hitscan.

The dot definately seems to lose zero if youre moving.

There has been mentions of the issue, but they’re really trying to make sure fixing it doesn’t bring up MORE bugs.

Honey, thanks for the suggestion, but this is an issue on Overwatch’s development, not his PC. I have the issue, several people have also claimed to have the issue. It’s been in the game for a while…

Really? I havent seen it anywhere. Is it in the known bugs list?

idk what is but i avoid playing ash because of it, whenever i aim down sights it just feels ‘wrong’ and sluggish.

stop moving for a sec. then shoot.

not that hard

Unless of course you’re trying not to get shot at.

It’s just an issue inherent to games that use UDP. Post a video of it happening so we can see his ping and his connection quality. Random hack breaks by Sombra, Ghost throws of beacons, Ghost throws of Orisa’s shields, Sniper shots not connecting, etc. It’s more apparent on anything that isn’t spammy. The other DPSes like Soldier and Tracer probably get it too but they shoot so many bullets a few here and there it doesn’t matter.

Idk. It’s really weird. I never get the impression of missing shots I landed with Widow and McCree but do all the time with Ashe. On the other hand lots of shots I thought I should miss land.

There’s a video out there of someone landing 3-4 shots in a row on Ashe in Dorado with no latency spikes and having none register.

I’d be over the moon if they could fix it. Though judging by how strong she is they’d probably need to nerf her a bit to accommodate it. Still an accuracy improvement is well worth it - especially on a hybrid sniper

A small epiphany I had today: Ashe’s scoped fire feels and sounds similar enough to McCree that I keep falling into the wrong rhythm.

McCree’s delay is 500 ms whereas Ashe’s is 700 ms, so in reality Ashe’s timing is much closer to Ana’s

There is a known bugs list?

I just remember seeing it talked about on an article… I’ll try finding it.

Tbh her gun feels like a really fast projectile and not a real hitscan. I can land shots with Ana/Widow perfectly fine but with ashe there’s a looot of times where i feel like the shots are not registering

Ashe is a projectile hero. She actually shoots a very fast projectile with her m1. So her aim is slightly different than hitscan heroes like for example soldier, widow and mccree

Everywhere is saying she’s hitscan, so I have no idea at this point. I did record a highlight and slowed it down because I know I hit a shot on this Zen and my dot is right on his body when I fired, but it completely misses. If anything it just doesn’t feel right.
