Why is Ana Undivable?

I’m just trying to understand the logic here. Why should I sniper be the most lethal support in melee range?

I play a lot of Ana and I can say she is most def divable, If someone is rushing you and you miss a sleep dart your odds of survival go down instantly.

Because Ana has 340 effective health, more than even LW’s, which is 320. She has a free, aimless -90 HP on the enemy diver, which is more than Juno’s, which is -85. She can disable the enemy diver’s ability to receive healing from their supports, which is priceless value. And finally, she also has a guaranteed one shot projectile, that’s a bigger projectile than Hanzo’s logs. 0.2m compared to 0.175m.

This absolutely has to be a DVA player angey that they can’t brainlessly boost into an Ana.

For the record I’m against the DVA hate bandwagon that’s cool to bash her right now. I think she is fine where she is, if you have a little bit of skill she’s not overpowering or impossible to play against.

That being said, whoever is upset about having a hard time diving Ana, same thing applies, a little bit of skill and she’s not impossible to dive.

Guaranteed one shot on training bots maybe. Maybe try not moving like training bot. I’m sure that 4 tap ttk is too fast for your skill issues

I think you should rephrase your question to “Why is Ana able to dish out so much punishment?”

High CC self heal that also debuffs and buffs herself simutaneously, like seriously no one talks about how whenever she nades herself it gives herself a healing boost, a good reliable weapon with DOT damage and unlimited range.

Like often times against good Anas just peeking her is plenty deadly.

Yet if you ignore her she can heal for a butt ton and she gets free nanoboosts.

So you have to face off against an Ana eventually as a means to stop her.

Problem is she can make your life miserable in doing so.

This means that Anas most realiable means is coordinated plays against her. As most experienced Anas can handle a simple duel and shut it down quickly with one of two abilities.

This is what makes her strong and often a pick for supports to be defensive.

Pick her apart as a team (Which is highly unlikely in most games and only adds to Ana’s problem entirely in her design.) And she goes down pretty easily.

She is only undiveable because you are either playing dive wrong

Or went against someone who isn’t playing dive correctly.

Not sure how you’re not understanding what I said…? It’s a guaranteed elim if she lands the shot. You know, the same if Hanzo lands a headshot? (Well, now for him, only on 225 hp or lower heroes…) Except that she doesn’t even need to land the headshot, like he does. She just needs to land a body shot and it’s a guaranteed elim.

If the diver is diving by themselves maybe

Which “diver” are referencing?
A tank?

What if they made her projectiles smaller, in exchange of giving her headshot ability?

Firstly, for her to have that much HP she is having to dump nade on herself. Which is already value not given to the team.

Aimless -90 hp and anti heal? Only if she wins the game against the person diving her. Winston not shield dancing properly, Dva not matrixing at the right time, Tracer not respecting the nade etc. And even if she hits some of these targets, they will not instantly blow up. Tracer can recall, tanks can usually stay alive for long enough for it to wear off or get back in another safer position.

Also, what the hell is her guaranteed one shot projectile? Her sleep? It doesn’t even kill a Tracer anymore with the full combo…

15 second cooldown ability vs 0.75s cooldown primary fire. Absolutely irrelevant comparison. Top 20 players have around 40% accuracy with it. Sometimes you get rolled by others in pvp game. That doesn’t mean sleep dart vs squishies is balance issue, never has been. Not once in 8 years.

Opportunity shots. They roll the dice for long range sleep, because it can be so beneficial.

You jump on Ana using your CDs, she hasn’t used them yet, she destroys you.

You force her to use her CDs, pressure her from a distance, she uses her CDs, you shorten the distance with the minimum CD, she has no mobility and she dies, even if you use CDs to get to her, the DPS CDs are usually shorter than hers.

If another support helps her, you are taking 2 supports out of the fight, giving your team a 4v3 advantage and they have no way to heal themselves.

Bad engagement? Bad timing of said engagement? Ana is not a hero I would consider undivable even with a brig by her side.
