Why is Ana allowed to keep Sleep?

They removed almost every single CC ability in the game except Sleep?

Don’t try and convince me this is “skilled CC” because it isn’t. All CC is bad CC.

I don’t play ana much… but if ana didnt have sleep… what would she have to not be insta deleted by everything?

because its one of the least negatively responded to cc
and it did get a cooldown increase in the beta

why ask a question if you’re so closed off about receiving answers? it’s clear that no matter what anyone says, you’re not open to changing your mind so why make this thread?

Because they would have had to completely rework her character whereas with Brigg/Mei/Cole you could do minor changes.

Least it wasn’t changed to be some mini anti nade that also slowly damages you :sunglasses:

You’re right OP they should’ve given Sleep Dart to Roadhog instead

Come on man, it’s a cool, non-oppressive CC that right now is helping keep Ana competitive.

It’s still needed to fight off the flankers and dive tanks. Also, it has a very long cooldown so enemies can play around it. It’s like Tracer’s recall in that when it’s on cooldown the Hero is very vulnerable.

Ana can keep sleep if they get rid of Anti.

Why did Lucio get to keep his when it’s even less of a skill shot? Or Pharah. Or Ashe? Why does the new dps hero get cc?

How would you handle it, would you replace it with something or just left her with nothing but rifle?

Boop is completely different from a stun that prevents you from playing the game for a stupid amount of time. Sleep, quite literally, puts me to sleep.

You said CC. You didn’t say stun.

Boop isn’t the CC people were complaining about. But of course Ana kept hers.

Honestly, it really feels off when you get slept for 5 seconds in a free-cc game like this. It makes it feels like OW1 all of a sudden. It’s true that it doesn’t make any sense that they removed close range 0.5s stuns like Cassidy or Brig’s and keep a long range 5 second stun.

I would like to believe that is just an incomplete patch and that the team will eventually rework that ability too. Because, let’s be honest, Ana could really use a new and different ability right now that actually helps her survive in this new enviroment.

What else would be used to stop Orisa from her rampage

Mei and Brig were kinda just nerfed and the compensation was clearly not enough.

Tracer still has insane combat mobility and a minuscule and janky hitbox. Its nowhere near the same.

Ana and Zen’s impactful abilities are equally if not more than compensated by the double whammy of poor mobility and weak self sustainability (Zen’s passive self heal and Ana’s nade). In OW2 these weaknesses are significantly amplified.

No mobility, she would get farmed without it. Poor Zen boy

Mei and Brigg are not strong right now but they work as heroes. If Ana lost sleep she would not work as a hero. You would just jump on her and her only answer is to die. So if you remove sleep you need to add mobility which gets us into rework territory.
