It sounds funny. Doomfist normally sounds serious deep menacing tone, but “And They Say” sounds so off and different compared to his normal tone.
Doomfist type of voice is rare & unique as I don’t find a lot of characters sound like him in video games. Unlike other male characters:
Soldier:76 voice is commonly heard in war games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, etc.
Cassidy voice is commonly heard in old wild west games like Red Dead Redemption OR game characters voiced by Troy Baker (e.g Booker Dewitt, Joel Miller).
Reinhardt & Torbjorn type of voice is commonly heard in medieval fantasy games, especially the ones that feature Dwarves, Knights, Brutes.
Roadhog & Reaper voices are commonly heard in fantasy or horror games, like the monsters or evil dead spirits.
Junkrat voice doesn’t sound unique when there’s the Joker from Batman: Arkham games, voiced by Legendary Mark Hamill (and Troy Baker in Arkham: Origins)
Lucio voice isn’t uncommon especially when there’re games (e.g car racing, dancing) that feature DJs or MCs who sound jolly just like him.
The nice thing is no one else has to listen to it anymore as Blizzard has auto muted it for us. Now, the people who like to spam it can and everyone else is unaffected.
It’s about as funny as having your tooth pulled without anesthetic. When I hear someone spam it I immediatly think '‘this person has a terrible sense of humour’ and ‘‘this person never leaves the house’’ and ‘‘this person has no personality’’. It just isn’t funny and never was.
You know, there are two kinds of annoying that are actually funny.
One is funny because, as annoying as it may be, it’s also kinda cute, like Mei’s voice lines.
The other is what I’m gonna call episodic because it’s nothing to be upset about, but people still get upset to hilariously far extents.
Spamming this voice line wants to be that second kind of funny, but honestly, it’s like… I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m annoying when I’m drunk and screaming my brains out, but that’s adorable to some and causes episodes in others, so it’s always funny despite the premise that I’m being a butt, but just… doomfist spamming this line isn’t cute, and the episodes are kinda too warranted to be funny.
I get that it’s entertaining to annoy others and I was guilty of that quite a bit when I was younger.
But now? Maybe I’m just a curmudgeon, but … it gets old FAST.

Though I suppose if all you live for is to entertain the 5 year old in your head (yes I have that too, I just don’t cater to it like I used to), it’s hilarious… not you specifically btw.
All I think about when people do this sort of thing is that the entertainment comes from antagonizing someone else and that’s really unnecessary.
Unless you ACTUALLY like the voiceline for yourself that much… in which case you can loop that kind of stuff on youtube so only you hear it.
