Discussing new abilities is a waste of time really. Blizzard refuses to address the issues and fix her kit with a proper rework that doesn’t put movement penalties on her and gives her some moments where she shines better than the rest. That being said, we still have GA and as long as I have that I can be happy. But her needing 60hps is non negotiable to me. I am sorry but there is never an instance in this game where I played Ana or Moira and thought to myself, “gee I know I just pulled my entire team from the brink of death but I wish my healing was slower and not aoe”.
They clearly don’t care about making the game itself better and only play save cards if it comes to changes.
It’s really sad, since the game has an insane potential to be very good… again.
I can see that. I on the other hand prefer a full, well worked out pack which is not riddled with poor design choices.
I get that palyers still like her base kit, i like that too. It’s just as fun as it was before her rework… even more so with the better GA. But you know… 1/3 is nothing complete.
MaGiC
But no for real.
The thread was made in a time in which players still had hope that team 4 would listen to well thought out community opinions/arguments/ideas.
I’m not saying it’s perfect but 60hps base healing means she has to spend less time in one place which means more zipping around everywhere. People do not get it. You don’t pick a mobile healer to stand behind a sniper and hold m1, the whole appeal is to move like you’re a fly that was dropped in a can of redbull all over the place. That’s the gameplay I want when I select mercy, that is what I do not get when healing a critical squishy takes more time than it should. I am just trying to take what I can get and I am certain 60hps is something blizzard can give back without messing anything up. I just wish they’d communicate and try to see it from our point of view.
Oh yeah. I miss that too. That intense, stressful jumping back and forth was the best about her… But with 50HP/s you can hardly do that. You are hard forced to stay behind just one play the entire game (a bit exaggerated but you get what i mean).
You can still do the jumping around but it feels so ineffective and tortures that you better just paly other heroes if you want gameplay like that.
I find it absoutely hilarious that this is the the biggest thread on the entire forum site and yet our developers who are so “dedicated to us” and “care about our input” have basically just ignored this post. I mean sure, some people are very toxic in how they discuss changes they want (ex. DELETE BRIG) But OP took time and effort to make this without a single hateful or toxic word in the title and yet nothing on dev side. They can spout that they care all they want but I truly feel like they don’t want to read this or any actual player and can easily just say that were wrong or were too emotional. There should be an OWL tracker because once they get any ideas on hero changes they’re basically instantly implemented without any consultation of the forums, IDK maybe OP can try and join OWLs to have any of our needs met.
I get what you’re saying, they could be looking at this and many other posts, taking them into consideration, but simply not responding. My point is that the dev team have made a point to comment and post on even the most obscure topics in the past, yet they have not made any such comments on this generally non confrontational manner. Maybe to meet your point, an implementation of showing when a dev reads a post could be helpful. But I still feel like no response to the most popular thread on the site is somewhat frustrating.
The devs have commented many many times on the state of mercy and this thread brings nothing new over all the previous mercy mega threads. Why would they respond? Nothing has changed, they have nothing to respond with.
With that assumed, this matter has been highly confrontational, as evidenced by many mercurial posts and exchanges within the thousands of posts in this thread
…and…
just because a dev responds to one posts does not mean they are required to post to them all.
There’s no necessity to show “dev read this post”. None whatsoever.
I most definitely meant manner, as in her manner of speech was non-confrontational. Because people can be highly toxic in the forums and the OP was very well-mannered.
As I said in the quote you are referencing, this was only to meet the issues that you brought up, but it would allow them to indicate that they are even aware of the post’s existence without the inundation of replies.
