Why I Have Yet to Not Despise Mercy's Current State

It would be as good as Nano boost for one ally, with 50% damage boost and 30hps, or 90hps and 20% damage boost. Donโ€™t forget, all allies also get a 30% speed boost. Or maybe instead of/in addition to speed they could have 25% damage reduction.

Or you can just stop trying to keep Valkyrie as multitarget ult, and let her give strong buffs to one teammate.

Weak buffs for whole team are out of question, especially if they get in Lucio territory.

This would be OP then. 50% dmg boost means most of the hero roster can now one shot you. As for 90HP, this is also OP as it outheals both Ana and Moiraโ€ฆ

It returns reason to target Mercy: she will have to stay with teammate to keep such OP buff active. As soon as Mercy decides to switch target, buff is applied to new teammate and previous one lost it.

Not to mention how this could impact Battle Mercy players.

People already use things like Trans and Sound Barrier selfishly at some ranks and times. Hell, even some Moiraโ€™s throw out Coal just for damage even though it heals more than it damages.

Just imagine some selfish Mercy player popping ult to go off an get kills. I am fine with people being a Battle Mercy but, I donโ€™t think it should be actively endorsed by her kit to just go and pop off with her pistol.

She is an entry level hero and if people are going to use her as such, then there should be emphasis on her team reliance to make sure the mindset of โ€œthis is a team gameโ€, carries over. Not that they go a selfishly try and hog the glory.

Thatโ€™s literally the point of my suggested changes. All teammates are buffed at lower hps and % but can be increased by Mercyโ€™s single target beam.

Mercy being able to boost only 1 teammate is her weakness, required for balance purposes. She never was supposed to be able to heal multiple teammates at once. Leave healing multiple teammates to Lucio and Moira.

Ana and Moira can both heal for over 100hps using their normal abilities and primary fire. 90hps would be far from OP as an ultimate, or even as an ability to replace rez on cooldown.

But they canโ€™t do it without interruptions: Moira has to recharge and Ana has to reload.

Turning someone into a one shot murderer by simply looking at them and holding left click sounds pretty OP. Plus, the rest of the team gets AoE 20% dmg boost and 30HP/s. Mercyโ€™s whilst in Valkyrie self heals 20HP/sโ€ฆ

Charging an ultimate is a much longer interruption than a short cooldown or reload/recharge.

Thatโ€™s why I suggest to not have secondary buffs to teammates not being targeted. And itโ€™s not OP for ultimate, if Mercy has to stay with you for the whole time, while with Nanoboost you can just hit teammate and switch to other tasks.

Having Mercy forced to stick with that one teammate, to make maximum use of her ult, feels like fair trade.

The point is, itโ€™s effectively a nano boost but is longer and can turn multiple players into nano boosted players. That, IMO, is way too powerful. Iโ€™d be fine if the buffs for the single target were nerfed a bit and then they could bring back the AoE stuff.

It turns only 1 current player into nanoboosted target at any moment. And please, no AoE.

Just to clarify, is it once per ultimate or multiple players per ultimate?

Multiple per ultimate, if you keep switching, which also means that each teammate gets only a second of that power. Remember that nanoboost has to be active when teammate hits enemy, not when shots were fired.

Will Nanoboost be OP, if it affected 4 players for 2 second each teammate, instead of current 8 s for one teammate? Probably wonโ€™t, as itโ€™s enough time for maybe 2 Junkrat grenades/Pharah rockets, not including time to reach target.
