The fact that I play Moira or Brigitte doesn’t clue you into the fact that I can’t aim to save my life? Come on man - if the enemy team has a Pharah, you can’t rely on the healers to save you all the time either with Ana or Bap.
Please do your job as DPS and take out Pharah. Because if you refuse, you leave me with no other option than to pit my pitiful aiming skills against an airborne moving target.
The reason is that neturalizing Pharah is often a win condition. So it doesn’t matter what else you do if Pharah goes unchecked.
So help me out here ok? Let me do what I do best (heal), and you do what you do best (DPS). Try not to place demands on me that I am unable to meet.
You can’t blame everybody else when you can do stuff against it too. You not being able to go Zen, Bap or Ana to help with the Pharah just tells me you should stay quiet and accept your team’s fate. Supports aren’t only for healing and every category needs to be able to swap to counter.
dps can literally use the same excuse. ‘did my hero pool of playing genji, junkrat and doom not inform you that i don’t play hitscan heroes’. Like someone else said, Supports are not there just to heal, they provide support by damaging as well. Which you probably do with Moira and Brig, but once they go pharah it’s on dps?. Naw.

Also, it could just be your DPS not being good hitscans but good at projectile/shotgun/flankers, so Baptiste is the next best option.
Or if there’s a Pharamacy, just a McCree or Soldier often just isn’t enough.
Or they’re on a close range duo like Doomfist/Reaper or Tracer/Mei that is otherwise working and if someone else can handle Pharah, it’s an ez clap.
Not everything is just out to victimize poor innocent support players. Their fault for not being flexible or willing to swap I guess, but in this case it’s partially yours too. If you can’t or won’t improve a skill then you need to accept it’s gonna result in losses sometimes.
Plus with his ridiculous new ROF and fall off you don’t even really need to be good to deal a ton of damage with Baptiste.
It’s your fault, nobody elses. No one on your team can play a hitscan? Of course the enemy team is going to capitalize on your weakness and play a Pharah.
Overcome and adapt, if you can’t then stay at your rank and lose. Too many of you babies forget this a competitive game.
What reason should you be able to climb because you’re too lazy to practice a core skill of an FPS game? Positioning will only get you so far, there’s mechanical skills as well. It’s the beauty of Overwatch, those two skills mix with each other so well.
Support your DPS then. Pump all of your heals/buffs into the DPS who can counter Pharah. An over-armoured McCree with a stream of healing with do great things against Pharah. Even more if you go Mercy and damage-amp them.
If someone is asking you to go bap to kill phara it’s a suggestion, if there telling you to there backseat gaming and they deserve a swift mute and move on.
Plenty of counter play for supports vs phara.

That said sometimes you will get a whole team that can’t counter something and that’s called losing the OW lotto.
There are more non-hitscan DPS than there are supports total so why queue support if you can’t play all of them acceptably. someone can be excellent at Rat/Pharah/Doomfist but that transfers zero skill to hitscans.
