If Torbjorn actually said something in Swedish, it would only reveal that his accent is no were near Swedish sounding. He sounds like he’s Irish.

Learning the pronounce isn’t that hard. I bet I (a normal person with no dub/teaching background) can make any american speak a few phrases in portuguese in less than a day.
The problem is if this will sound natural to a native speaker. And that is a bigger problem if the sound team don’t have an actual brazilian reviewing the process.
Luckily, Blizzard already have a full in-house brazilian sound team, so this shouldn’t be hard to achieve. But then, they also have a german sound team and we got Mercy speaking german german instead of swiss german.

I was thinking about simple words, like his ult for example, or a greeting.
Mercy had to pull off an entire accent to all her voice lines which is much harder.
It doesn’t really matter to me if he would scream “SMÄLT KÄRNA” during his ult in a way that could sound unnatural, since you know, he already sounds pretty weird in the first place.
“Hallå” or “Hej” isn’t too hard to learn, either.

They’ve recently added Hindu (or is it Hindi?) VLs for Symmetra so it’s not too surprising to see that they’re doing a similar thing for the other heroes
It’s Hindi. In Symmetra’s case it wasn’t really necessary, there’s about 3-5 “main” languages in India and English is the biggest. Huge portions of the population never learn anything other than English. I actually found it kinda odd they added those lines. But i suppose Moira speaks Gaelic and that’s borderline dead now, it would likely be a relic in 60 years. In the cases of Lucio, Torbjorn and Reinhardt, them not speaking their native languages seem off as the languages are all very common today.
I hope i’m right about all this so i don’t seem like an idiot.
