You’ve got nothing to lose but wtf when your an orisa sitting in spawn using that dog emote, like why even play / throws what’s the actual fkn point in that?
I mostly play comp but this past week on qp I’ve legitimately enjoyed playing comp a lot more than qp.
Also i don’t care what hero you damn play atleast try i think its so damn stupid when I’m seeing orisa emoting in spawn or a wrecking ball only spinning in circles.
Maybe this is normal in qp I’m not sure because I’m a comp player. who knows.
Because this is what having a dedicated “competitive” mode gets you. People act like the “lesser” mode isn’t for people who want to play the game. Even though it’s what the vast majority of people experiencing overwatch are playing.
It doesn’t hurt that it was a much better designed game, but in all my time of playing TF2, this was never really a problem. People just played the game. That’s how they had fun.
And that was reflected in the memes. Even though they obviously weren’t the best, Market Farmers, Hoovies and Pan Scouts were still helpful enough to the team effort to not be a massive handicap like any overwatch equivalent is, like non-supporting Supports.
Because not enough players report them so they don’t get suspended. It’s as simple as this: If someone deliberately engages in gameplay sabotage, report them. If they sandbag, grief, feed, throw, are being toxic, cheat, are racist or anything that goes against the rules: just report them
If they keep feeding and then are like “LOOOL CHILL IT’S JUST QP” report them. It’s as simple as that. If you and everyone else just did this, these players wouldn’t exist in the game
Well, nobody likes snitches. I try to clear all the mess ingame. Trolling and cheater suspects are reportet though. The rest is trash talk and is part of every intense FPS game. At least it was back in the old days (I’m old ^^" ).
I only play quick match/arcade but I always try to win. Maybe to much tryhard sometimes but at least I never give up. 2-2-2 really helps with some discipline in normal quick. I was sceptical first that Blizzard added role queue also for non comp but it is not that bad. Now you have at least tanks and healers in every match. That was not common in qp bevore 2-2-2.
Sitting in spawn emoting isn’t all that common in qp from my experience (and that probably should be reported), but battle mercies flank torbs and Divehardts are pretty common.
Not that I really mind, quick play is anarchy and it’s for fun lol
Some people don’t want to risk feeling powerless by losing a match while trying so they instead choose to wreck their own team’s chances of winning, which they’re able to do easily on their own, which makes them feel powerful. It’s stupid and only people with fragile egos do it but there’s some rationality to it.
Well I would say that’s less about trying and more about someone actively throwing.
But for me?
I absolutely don’t care about quick play. I’m there to have fun. Not sweat or try. If I want a chill game? I go to quick play.
If I see the enemy running ashe widow and mercy? I for damn sure will leave. If I’m trying to just relax on my doomfist and they go sombra? I will for damn sure leave.
I’m there to play for fun not go against meta abusers or people trying to actively hard counter me.
(I don’t mind counters, but when people go sombra and sit in their backline just holding right click. They are the most boring human being on this planet.)
I don’t think everyone should be trying to do everything they can to win in qp. Some people are there for practice or just to have a chill experience, but sitting in spawn emoting is different and I would report them for gameplay sabotage. That’s just not ok in any mode except for maybe some created modes haha
Don’t listen to negative Nancy’s like this, the game is still great and generally everyone is trying to win in competitive but there are exceptions to every rule
Eh sadly the mentality is it’s ok to completely goof off in quick play. So, for us that just play quick play our games get ruined in moments like this but if I dared join a ranked game and pull stunts like that it would be a abomination because I’m ruining their experience.
