In the EU, all sorts of languages are thrown around in chat, especially russian-like ones.
Why, in 2025/26 is there not auto-translation to your selected language in chat? I can get out googe translate on my phone and point the camera at chat and it translates all the different languages automatically.
But why Blizzard do you not give us auto-translation? It’s been a thing for 10 years or something now and should be a standard in anything that has multi-language chat.
But you’d probably get reported for being afk while you do that… 
Processing concerns? connection limitations? Cost to run backend? Potential mistranslations turning into reportable language? overzealous translation of commonly borrowed phrases or terms?
Good question but I suspect there’s at least decent reason it doesn’t get thrown into anything with text chat.
Seems like most of what I see in chat in English is shorthand meme speak that wouldn’t translate into other languages.
Literally no one is saying anything of value in chat. Doesn’t matter what language.
