Only the enemy team and Reinhardt players themselves hear “Hammer down!” when he ults. Why does one of the most iconic heroes in the game not say something to his team when he ults?

Maybe a glitch, or an oversight on blizzards part?
Not sure. Just feels odd. I hope this wasn’t done on purpose.

Seems like an oversight. Honestly “Hammer Down!” should’ve been the friendly line, and something German should’ve been the enemy line.
But I digress, the lack of a callout makes for some hilarious moments. A Gibralter match I had with my brother on Rein went quiet.
All of a sudden you hear the thud of the hammer echoing throughout the landscape.
While cracking up I asked why he did that: “Mercy was shooting at me while floating from the heavens, so I solo ulted the trick.”

Definitely an oversight, and a confusing one at that with opposing Reins.
Same with Orisa and Torb I think. Some heroes just don’t have 2 ult voicelines.

You’re right, Torb doesn’t have a “friendly” ult call.
Orisa says, “Team up for special attack” to her allies.

Yeah they never gave him a line, just like you cant hear an allied torb ulting
“go go go I pressed Q they are all down!”
Torbjörn, Reinhardt, and Bastion don’t have friendly ultimate lines. Winston roars on either team.
Also, Orisa says “Team Up for Special Attack!” when she’s friendly.
Edit: Roadhog laughs and doesn’t actually say anything for either team.

also i think they should rework orisas ult lines… Team up for special attack … it sounds so boring.

It’s the Bastion one that is the real killer. When Bastion Ults it is most likely to be out of the sight of the enemy team, and quite often out of the sight of many on the friendly team. And it is really, really important to know whether you have a friendly Bastion Ulting behind you or an enemy Bastion Ulting to the side of you.

I like it. The battle gets quieter and then you hear bang often accompanied by the yelling and hype of your team.
Hard to notice the bang when there’s fifty other things going on at the same time.
