Think about it. Overwatch takes place in the mid 2070s. Reinhardt and Ana are 61 and 60. That means Reinhardt was born was 2012-2016. So he would’ve grew up on our current meme culture and be the dankest person anyone of us have ever met, yeah we live in the internet culture now but Reinhardt and Ana were breed in it, molded by it, lived by it!! They would be memelord beyond any of us. They’d dab, recite rappers like Cardi, Post, Migos and etc, supreme, joggers, oversized glasses would be their style, they’d say terms like clout, lit, skkrrt skrt skrt, and more.
Of course my post is joking a bit and they wouldn’t nessecarily be that cringey but it’s kinda odd how they don’t make any reference to their childhood. If you know any old person they always talk about how things used to be when they were young. Reinhardt and Ana should relate more to current gen Z and gen Alpha youngns if we’re being realistic.
Edit: oh yeah for people who don’t know Gen Z are people born 1995-2009, or about that time, some consider 2000-2012, or 1998-2011 and etc. But generally late 90s early 2000s are Gen Z. Gen Alpha are people born 2010-2025 and again the exact number varies but generally after 2010 and before 2030.
I get that this is a light-hearted joking post but people mature, you know? Rein and Ana are more mature than most of the cast, and that sort of “meme” behaviour is cringy at best. I’m not that old but I’ve already been moving away from that sort of stuff, and I don’t imagine many people over the age of 30 would find the behaviour specifically listed in this post “cool” or funny anymore. Just my 2 cents if you’re looking at it from a literal perspective. Otherwise, I can see the two embarrassing the younger cast a lot by using these outdated memes
