Why doesn't my old name change in battleTag

hello

I changed my account name to sara but it didn’t change with me on Sony

My old BattleTag name : ShinyHero
My new BattleTag name : SARA

ID : Redacted
GMAIL : Redacted

I paid an amount to change the battleTag

Hi Sara. The PSN and Battle.net are on two completely separate systems. Changing the tag on one will not affect the other and you’ll have to change it individually for each platform. If you only intended to change the PSN tag and not the Battle.net tag I recommend sending a ticket in to our support staff to see if a refund is possible, or any other options.

As for changing the PSN tag you’ll have to check through Sony’s resources to get it changed. There is nothing we can do to change those tags as it’s not within Blizzard systems.

Note that if you’re using Cross-play it should pull the tag used on Battle.net and not PSN for display in-game.

Buying a battletag change only pays Blizzard. Buying a PSN Name change only pays Sony.
