Why does the Overwatch Team only Cater Responses to Their PC Players on the Forums?

DISCLAIMER:
This post is not intended to be offensive to those of you who prefer to play Overwatch on PC over the Consoles. We all have our preferences of platform to play Overwatch, and there is nothing wrong with that. If you take offense to this post, please understand that this is not the intent of this, and I sincerely apologize to those of you who do feel offended by this.

As for the main part of this post:
The title speaks for itself regarding the point I’m trying to get across. And yeah, I get it; Blizzard has been a developer for PC for most of its life as a company. That’s not the point for this thread; they developed Overwatch for the Consoles as well. Yet why is it that every time we see a member of the Overwatch Team respond to a thread expressing a concern, it’s regarding a concern on PC?

Are the concerns of your OW-Console Player-base less valid, just because of our preference to play OW on Console over PC? If so, then why did you, Blizzard, release the game on Console to begin with, and much less, plan to release the game on all 3 platforms from day one?

I could list all of the concerns, but I don’t feel like I need to; considering that it’s already been done several times over in the Console Megathread on the forums. If you guys could at least take the time to respond to the concerns pertaining to OW-Console, and state why you guys can or can’t address the concerns listed, we would be more likely to stop asking about it.

The lack of transparency is the smallest, and most easily addressable, of these issues. Yet you guys haven’t even given that to Console Player concerns in over 6 months. I know there’s something you guys are not wanting to tell your Console Players. Why don’t you guys take the time to tell us?

And please, don’t give any of this “nothing to announce at the moment” crap. That in of itself is a downright insult. If I do see this as the answer, I will be ready with the reply of: “What is the REAL answer?”.

And this is because I’ve already seen that exact response regarding other OW-related things for Console; especially owpathtopro’s Twitter response regarding anything E-Sports related for Console. They gave the exact SAME response to that question 4 MONTHS ago, and all I will see such a response [saying something such as “nothing to announce atm”] would be as a downright insult.

You can’t handle the truth.

Blizzard has been focusing on PC for the past like 15 years.

Is mouse and keyboard on console still considered cheating?

Well like the console players have stated before.

blizzard doesn’t care.

the consoles are very limiting.

uMMM, BECAUSE PC MASTER RACE OBVIOUSLY

(I’m kidding.)

Overwatch is a pc port for the console systems, which is why the console version has several shortcomings. It’s no different than console ports to pc having horrible mouse and keyboard support or other pc issues. If you want an optimal experience, then I suggest playing Overwatch on pc. If you can’t or refuse to play on pc, then you have to deal with the console shortcomings.

The pc port of Nier doesn’t have as good mouse and keyboard control or Mass Effect 2 lacking hotkeys for weapons. Obviously, the games were designed for console systems and not pc systems, which is why these pc ports are lacking in the keyboard or mouse control. The assassin series games are like this too. I got a free copy for the original assassin creed game with a purchase of high end graphics card a few years ago and the keyboard systems were not very good. Dead space was beyond playable, the mouse movement had system input lag that made the gamin unplayable without modifying the game system files.

Now if I wanted to play the above console ports optimally, then it’s best for me to buy a console and play them on console. However, I refuse to buy console system for an existing pc port game, which is why I only play acceptable pc ports and ignore the rest.

You must decided if Overwatch is acceptable to play on your particular console system. Alternatively, you can play Overwatch on pc for an optimal experience. However, in my experience complaining will do little. The primary market for Overwatch is the pc market. Until the console market is the primary market for Overwatch, expect little change for the console version much like pc ports. The console market is the primary market for the games i listed above, which is why the game is first optimize for console, then secondary for pc market. The secondary market is optimize from great to poor. It’s rare for a pc port be as optimize as the console version.
