Im just saying that is useless argue with you, if everyone is wrong, im not being toxic.
if he takes too long, botches his escape, or even has his escape disabled…he’s going to die.
Because quickly getting in, bursting a target, and quicly getting out is a quality only cyber ninjas are allowed. No nigerian arena fighter is allowed to do so.
It’s not really useless to argue with me. You have presented no statistics or reasonable logic, so what am I really left to offer you?
And if I am “so useless to argue with” how about you just say “fine, lets just agree to disagree” and this entire thing can be thrown under the carpet.
My bad for the miscommunication. I’m quite tired Appreciate the patience!
I appreciate that advice. I’ve noticed that the swift-strike up is my “oh !@#$” indicator to get ready, but…that’s quite short. That’s my issue with it. I left the “If he has a cue, it’s not noticeable for the impact it has” open-ended because I don’t want to say he has none.
I think even Sombra has one, and homegirl is invisible the majority of the game lol.
But I feel like with how fast his ultimate can go and what it is capable of, it’s just…too short of an indicator that he’s going to use it.
And I say this with so much respect - truly. I’ve sat on this idea for a while and I landed on, “I’d be okay with this”. I’m not trying to rally anyone to my side. So I haven’t really considered this an argument, more of “this is my idea, please let me explain it further for you”. Because of that, I’m…too tired to keep going and I don’t necessarily want to try to convince you.
You are being very reasonable so I am really happy to say “agree to disagree”! And it’s really only because I’m just too sleepy and tired to keep writing in English for much longer.
buuuuut before I wrap up…
You’re objectively being pretty rude, my friend. I’m having a very reasonable discussion and it’s not rude or disrespectful at all…and, you know, that’s probably because I’m not doing that to them. You get what you give.
Just so you know for reference, Doomfist was argued to be a bit overpowered through multiple forms of media, other than the forums.
But, nobody asked for him to be gutted this bad, I have a friend who is a Doomfist main and have played him and had fun with Doomfist multiple hours myself, it’s a shame to see him this bad, hopefully blizzard buffs him in the future! It’s not all darkness for him hopefully!
I hope they dial back some of the nerfs, or consider reworking him if necessary.
I hated that man but holy cow did they overdo it…
Alright, we can agree to disagree. At least the arguments were presented reasonably and discussed well. Good night.
Im not being rude, im being realistic, this person is not even putting himself in the enemy perspective, probably he is a OTP, he doesnt know how the others heroes are in lack of some “shine” that “his” hero had received in his conception, if someone is being disrespectful is him, for saying that Genji is very balanced when the he doesnt know how the others are balanced.
I appreciate the patience Maybe we can resume when my brain is not fried after being out and about for 14 hours on 2 hours of sleep lol. Or alternatively if you can read Japanese I can write to you in that lol
You have presented little to no argument of how the other heroes “lack” what Genji supposedly has…?
What exactly gives you this image that Genji is some special super OP hero…? I know the forums kinda demonizes him sometimes but I have asked through multiple sources of other media (Twitch, Reddit, etc.) and they all seem to think of Genji fondly and say he is quite balanced. They also don’t really take the forums seriously and for good reason, it’s a pretty toxic cesspool for the most part.
No im not saying that Genji is OP, i know that gold Genji players exist, but his kit has too much on it, the others dont have this diversity of abilities that he has and besides that he has some forgiving factors that even Tracer doesnt have.
Maybe you could have taken them up on the “agree to disagree” offer?
Since that accomplishes what you want here in a more respectful and mature way?
Whenever and if you so choose to continue the debate, I am more than willing to go into this further.
And I am partially Japanese, although I can only read the language partially… English is preferred
It’s a design of balance choice, instead of a few, powerful abilities, he gets a decent amount of mediocre, yet decent abilities that are meant to be chained and combo’d.
If you want to debate reasonably, state what exact factors he supposedly has, and I will be more than willing to create my rebuttle.
Must be some tiny logs then.
Twigs tbh
Logs you say? How odd… I saw an enemy Roadhog picking Hanzo’s arrows out of his teeth the other day, the odd fellow referred to them as tooth-picks
I will say only one thing, “play other heroes” they could not be fun to you, but try to stick with them, then you can debate about balance, its too bad when you know only one side of the rope, i know that Genji can be frustrating to play because some of his abilities can be counterable, but i know how the other side feel when they have to track a weird hitbox above their heads.
This post is a tad unclear. But it sounds like you are referring to Swift Strike’s hitbox. I have said why it is like this before on this thread, I am a tad too tired to type it out again, so apologies, you may have to do some digging.
I will mention this though, the ability is odd to say the least on the Genji’s side.
There are times where on my screen I am already behind the enemy and they somehow headshot me without looking at me, and the kill cam represents them shooting the trail and it triggering damage.
Also, the swift strike hitbox is clearly represented, believe it or not, he has both his arms extended out to the length of the hitbox, and has a giant green diagonal slash in the front representing the width/height/length of the hitbox.
I know the other sides of the ropes, even though I admit to maining Genji, I have a good bit of hours on characters such as Roadhog, Hanzo, Soldier 76 and Reaper, and have not really felt the same way towards swift strike that you feel.
Yeah, I know, just sharing my disappointment here heh.
Its just upsetting to see people defending this tatic of getting in, bursting, and getting out only regarding genji, but doomfist… Its outrageous.
Seriously, the one time (ever) he became viable (without people waning you’re troll picking) he got nerfed to the ground.
I think this style of play is completly viable, and should be allowed, in both cases.
