Why isn’t he able to suck it in along with Roadhog since they are connected? Isn’t that how black holes work? Smh i’ll never understand guy who designed his abilities

Its a small blackhole with not enough gravity to drag roadhog, he justs reels it back from the void of nothingness it went in.
I never understood this myself. It doesn’t block other physical attacks and even when D.va’s matrix blocks projectiles it doesn’t block the hook. This is something I’d very much like to change with the hero

Actually, Graviton Surge isn’t specifically a Black Hole, it doesn’t pull characters into its center, it spins them around one point if you look closely.
It’s actually described as a Gravity Bomb

that always felt kinda weird, because otherwise it works exactly as dva’s matrix.
His boulder also doesn’t really behave like a projectile, but that starts making more sense when you think of it as a deployable like torb turret.

Actualy D.va matrix is more opposite to kinetic grasp. Her matrix is basicaly an “aimbot” that allows Dva to aim her guns at every projectile thrown at her, every bullet is shot by her laser, which explains why larger objects such as a boulder or a landmine won’t get destroyed, its sort of a misconception that her matrix “eats” stuff, wehn in reality she just shoots it (which explains why Matrix disables her primary fire). Sigma’s kinetic grasp is a tiny blackhole that literaly “eats” what is thrown. He can’t absorb the accretion boulder because it’s too big, and it can byoass roadhog’s hook because essentialy Roadhog threw his hook inside an empty hole and reeled it back.
I though it was game balance > game logic
And yeah, by that I mean Hook should go through that so-called black hole
Because long ago, the hook had dimensional properties.

Roadhog can’t be sucked into a black hole like that because he got admirable heft
a black hole is a point is space where the gravity i so strong even light cant escape, i wonder what would happen to a metal hook under that much gravitational force

Considering his blackhole is the size of an apple, it’s possible the gravity pull isn’t too strong. Also, come to think of it, he is probably not making a REAL blackhole in his hand, just a strong gravity pull.
the same reason genji can delfect an impact fused HE shell; OW has no internal logic.
Because they wanted to make him as powerful as possible to help with the queue times in 2-2-2 to gain more support.
