Like, she’s balanced. As soon as everyone thought she was a horrible pick after the healing nerf, everyone who hated mercy said she didn’t need changes. After some tuning, Mercy is now the most balanced she’s ever been and once again those same people are calling for super jump to be removed. The bug isn’t game breaking, Mercy doesn’t dominate the support class anymore, not even close. Just leave her alone.

discussing something isn’t automatically wanting a removal of something, these are the discussion forums, people will talk about what’s high up in OW media
You want it to stay, that’s ok
someone else wants to remove it, that’s ok
What’s not ok is that you want to shut them down just because you fear they might be right and the feature ends up being removed, which is very unlikely, if you want to participate, do so, if you don’t want to then no one is forcing you to read threads that will stress you out

There are a lot of reasons that Mercy is a contentious topic
In this case, though, it’s because xQc is a salty rageboi and is raising a fuss about something that’s been in the game for a while, so it’s got people talking (and some complaining) about it. I think for a lot of people, “Mercy” and “OP” leads to flashbacks of the months and months of hyper-OP Moth Mercy that the game had to endure, so when the two show up together, it’s going to get attention

I don’t care if it stays or goes, but it’s not like bug fixes have ever taken balance into account. Moira healing through shields for example.

I completely agree and especially with the Rez changes in valk she is super fun to play except I do think if they removed super jump from her “kit” even tho it’s a big would be a problem as it does kelp some people playing here. I have found myself using it as more of a fun teasy ability to annoy the other team rather than a mobility tool.
Becuz as long as the famous ow streamers like xQc exists then mercy can never be alone. People dont think of the consequenses of their action, when an ow streamer complain about anything, that is it, its like an automatic brainwash system.

Supports are inherently seen as unworthy by gamers. Anything a support has that might take away their grace is seen as bad.
If Mercy and Brig were in arbitrarily in the damage slot, they wouldn’t have gotten half the nerfs.

That depends where one chooses to look.
Balance is also a weak argument to use. Super Jump is not a universally known or used ability. If Mercy needs Super Jump to be balanced then it’s a problem because many Mercy players don’t even know what it is yet alone have the ability to use it and are as a result having an underpowered experience.
Every time you let an obscure bug influence balance you are making it so a part of a characters ability is locked away from normal users.

Bunker meta does not revolve around Mercy, she just fits very well into it. Mercy hasn’t been nearly this used since season 11 and much hasn’t changed since then.
While I hate the rework, I just want a 60hps revert.
I want her to heal through shields again.

Because some of you were calling mercy 2.0, the most broken creature in the history of overwatch “BALANCED”. while she had over 90% pickrate in all ranks.
And the moment she lost number one spot and went to top 5 only, lots of you started complaining about how weak she is now and how OP ana is and how this and how that and asked for buffs over and over.
Mercy isn’t controversial. She was OP. She’s borderline overpowered at the moment, but so are the other healers, apart from brig who is just a broken hero(not OP. broken). Mercy mains make her controversial.
I’ll still never understand what was wrong with 55.
