No, its not supposed to block it.
Mei was supposed to counter tank defenses like barriers.

Mei ult ignores most barriers/defensive ability and you have to break LOS to the centre. Shields don’t break LOS

Eh, she’s mostly fine.
It’s just that in particular is a “I set this zoning Ult up perfectly, and now it disappeared, dubyateeeff blizz”
It’s just a buzzkill.
Like you are all ready for the “I did this perfectly, now give me one dopamine please”, and then that abruptly gets cut off.
I think Mei is fine, her design is toxic and extremely unfun anyway so she can never be very strong.
But I think she’s in a good spot, I would like to see bubble block her ult, would be cool.

The game needs Mei and Sym and every other hero you hate more than the Nth hitscan DPS or dive tank.

I learned it from the dictionary. I thing any character that is too unfun to play against if strong is toxic. So Mei fits that category.
Would be cool to see bubble block her ult.
Here’s a trick for you: encase Snowball in your wall if you think it’s going to be EMPed. The wall blocks line of sight for EMP to cancel it, but still freezes through it

Mei ult is already on the weaker side, Dva/Sigma/Genji/Orisa can counter it on reaction, they don’t even need to anticipate it. Kiriko can neutralise it with a basic ability. Anyone with a movement ability can usually get out of the (small) radius in time. Is the goal that literally anyone can deal with it?
Mei ult goes through Mei walls and shields and requires Line of sight from its center to actually freeze.
Exception Mei walls, it goes through even though LOS is blocked.
mei’s ult is literally a robot dropping the temperature till you freeze. You saying that its warm and toasty inside winton’s bubble?
I would say something like Torbs ult being on the weaker side. Mei’s is a more lethal version of that. Being able to throw it around the back line to force them too far forward, or watch them freeze as they instinctively backup. It’s too easy to catch everyone off guard during a fight.
Regards to OP, Brig’s primary attack goes through shields too, it seems shields are more akin to bullets
They buffed it a long time ago to ignore shields.
