Why does kiriko get so many skins?

out of curiosity, why is it that kiriko is receiving…so…many…skins…?

why is there yet another new kiriko skin in the shop? it’s not a huge issue but it’s definitely a pattern i’ve noticed and i’m wondering if there’s a reason ?

I think it’s because she was developed back in OW1 times and so they’ve had lots of skins for her in the pipeline for a long time.

Either she’s gonna eventually get a drought or be like Tracer and just always get new skins

Combination of her being new and therefore not having as many skins and having a big player-base that is willing to shell out for her.

I have to say the Timekeeper is very nice and had Blizzard made good on its promises and balanced the game well I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

But no, I shall resist giving more money to them.

Probably because newer character, popular hero, people buy her skins a lot I guess. it’s all a big feedback loop.

Because people buy them. Heroes whose mains buy the most shop skins will receive more shop skins. Unless that hero is particularly hard to design for or something.

I doubt they planned to make a mage mercy and Kiriko set when they made mage mercy. One is a recolor and one is a fresh skin. Completely different.

She has 13 skins from what I can see in the fandom wiki (is that accurate?). Sojourn also has 13. Junkerqueen has 13 skins. Ramattra has 13 skins. Lifeweaver has 10, give him 2 seasons to catch up.

What makes Kiriko so special that you feel the need to complain about her, but not the rest?
