No?
The double jump is probably the weakest part of his entire kit, as it’s the most predictable part. If he leaves the ground you know what he’s going to do. He’s going to jump again. Jump spam in a game is a double edged sword, it makes you less predictable at first but then people adjust to it quickly.
Hence why in TF2 the first thing people tell you to NOT do in a Scout vs Scout battle is jump. He will have an easier time shooting you. Any hitscan worth their salt won’t have trouble blasting him in the air.
i say this everytime i watch his cam and see what i hope is my team best efforts to kill and see get away with ease. come on guys heant to be easily predictable, he not mewant to easily outplay a brig, winston and moira with such ease.
same with tracer sometime, am like “its okay guys shes balanced as she only get good in the rank where people know how to actually aim for her better so you can stop trying.”
As a Hanzo main I can honestly say the dumbest thing Genji can do when trying to kill you is jumping and especially double-jumping.
Normal Hanzo will catch you the moment you land, T500 Hanzo like Wraxu will catch you mid-air at highest point.
Same applies for sniper-type heroes like Widow or Mccree. I see no issue with his jumps.
Overwatch’s air predictability is significantly different from TF2’s air predictability. In Source, you’re either committed to the jump, or you freeze all momentum in the air.
In Overwatch, since there’s significantly different movement acceleration/basically null movement, particularly on the ground, but also in air control, it’s not really as predictable as TF2.
