People don’t hate OW. They hate OW2 because it robbed us of everything in OW and then gave us a cheap knockoff that monetized everything down to the air you breathe while playing.

I don’t hate it. It’s just disappointing.
It had so much lore potential. The reason we have an OW2, is no longer being made (PvE).
The monetization is disappointing. The content is disappointing.
This was a game built on false hype. And now this whole “we don’t want tanks to be raid bosses” but going back on that and doing just that, makes this game less fun.

The game is eight years old, people are bored with it but don’t want to admit that it’s them, people don’t like change because change scurry, people want to scapegoat anything they can, people would rather complain than accept that not every game is made for them, etc.
As for me specifically, I was bored of the game like 6 months after launch. The game is just TF2 with abilities, and that’s not enough to sustain my interest.

I hate ow cause of all the things it couldve become with its great potential it became this

OW1 rewarded you for playing by giving you coins which you could use to buy skins that released with events throughout the year (which they changed to “seasons” when OW2 released). Certain events also had lore to them (at least twice a year) and skins that gave backgrounds to the characters (usually paired with a short-story/comic).
The coins were also far easier to earn. You were rewarded for every level up (back when you had your personal level that came with custom level borders) with a lootbox that rewarded you with cosmetics and coins.
And then there’s the obvious format difference that was far more nuanced than 5v5 can ever be.

I love OW. I hate the direction they’ve taken the game.
I don’t just mean 5v5/6v6, but 5v5 changes alone. S9 killed any dedication I had to the game. I still play it, but not nearly as much and I’m not nearly as invested as before, because there’s no real point in putting in effort after S9 dumbed down the game even more.
I want to go back to S3 OW2. Almost everyone agrees that was peak OW2.

The damn balancing is getting on my nerves I thought I was just exaggerating or my team refusing to switch but Tracer is legitimately OP as hell on console.
She’s decorating top 500
(When someone says X is decorating something that just means it fills out literally the entire thing) I barely saw one person who didn’t have Tracer in top 500
And then there’s DVA Jesus Christ she also decorates top 500 at least on PC yalls top 500 for tank at least looks pretty diverse.
After those damn season 9 changes Tracer did become super easy I mainly play Sombra and only switch to her as need be aannnnd yeah I’ve jumped to ranks after being hard stuck silver most of my dps carrer (I usually only play Sombra and was reallly good with her back in ow1 I really only lose with no coms). But the combination of my Sombra and Tracer and whoever else I may need has been hard carrying my dps.
So dps feels “Good” ya know cause im winning but its not my main role and the dps passive makes things soooo soooo soooo annoying.
Like honestly if you do wanna enjoy ow right now and you find fun in “Winning” like I do and not just the “Gameplay experince” (which yeah that somewhat matters) like your best bet is dps right now hands down.
My hero Lifeweaver has also been ignored for multiple MULTIPLE balance patches soooo ya know thats been just lovely.
I don’t care about Overwatch at all, b-b-baka!

We dont hate ow. We hate the balance team and the sales team and sometimes, rarely but sometimes we hate the art team.

Hate OW? Hmm…
Well, I haven’t played much this season. Matchmaking has been beyond atrocious for several seasons now, and constant losing streaks kills my desire to play.
Few days ago, I logged on, ran some vaxta for about 20 mins to warm up. Queued up for some QP, and went 0-5. Said to hell with this, logged off.
Today, I logged on, same thing. Vaxta to warm up, queue up for QP, went 0-4, said to hell with this, logged off.
I mean, I can’t speak for everyone, but I sure as shorts aint wasting my time in a competitive pvp game where I lose so many more games than I win. In order for me to want to keep playing, I have to…yknow… actually win some games once in while. Blizzard does not understand this concept. So I am playing less and less each season.
No one logs on to any video game for the purpose of losing all the time.

Err-body hates on Overwatch because people have no life’d the game for years on end to the point where they have fried the dopamine receptors in their brain, but they are still perma addicted.
So they nitpick and cry about every tiny little problem wrong.

The game does what every game shouldn’t or tries to copy what every game did wrong.
The ideas are there, but the execution is poorly done 95% of the time.
