Why does Dva have infinite ammo?

Why does dva have infinite ammo? She doesn’t deal as much as Roadhog with each attack but she can deal a lot , she shoots very fast and has INFINITE AMMO. I don’t mind Hanson having infinite ammo because he has to charge but She deals a LOT of dmg over time , when I play dva I can kill a DPS hero very fast, and I don’t have to reload! Dva doesn’t need as little ammo as Roadhog but the least they could do was give Dva
50-100 ammo!

It does reload automatically when you fire.

They slow you down and deal very little damage outside of barrel stuffing someone. If they needed to be reloaded they would be even worse than they already are.

Dva has infinite ammo for the same reason she has her pilot form: to be able to jam her full of weaknesses and then say she’s balanced because of a questionable “advantage” that leads to zero real benefits in game.

It has an effective range of like 1 meter, her damage isn’t what makes her strong.

Also no, Hanzo isn’t really reloading, he’s drawing infinite arrows from his quiver, ammo management and knowing when to reload isn’t part of his skill floor.

I mean you could give D.va a reload but that would require a huge boost in her damage so if that is what you want then who am I to fight you on it?

boost her dmg but add a overheat mechanism.

her cannons are belt fed so she doesnt need to reload since all the characters have infinite ammo. it would be kind of inconvenient for her to have to jump out of the mech and attach a new ammo drum, or maybe she would have to fly back to busan and get it done.

Its like that because it both slows her down and has an extreme drop off. She has to be close to do effective damage, but the cost of movement speed and exposing her massive crit box.

Is she had a reload her damage should be much higher.

She’s the worst tank by far and in need of serious help.
