why can doom fly around and kill supports but ball cant and his cooldowns are lower and hit box is bigger
Wrecking Ball is far deadlier to supports than Doom. And Iām a support player.
Ball also flat out hides his crit box 90% of the time.
Ball is way better than Doom at killing supports/snipers plus he can stay alive and stall points much longer.

Ball is the most annoying tank in the game, far more annoying than Winston. WB could be gutted for all I care. He was an interesting design for OW1 but simply does not fit into OW2 at all.

Weirdly enough I feel like I still have been able to headshot him even though heās blocked, even before this recent bug happened. But idk if thatās placebo or real

Okay it definitely reduces the headshot damage he takes, but Iām not sure about the numbers yet.
The block reduces all incoming dmg by 80%⦠so if heās shot in the head while blocking⦠Iām trying to determine if the normal damage the shot would perform is reduced by 80%, or if itās the crit damage that wouldāve been received that is reduced.
Ball doesnāt have a critical hitbox when rolling around, plus his shield ability. on the saurface what you say makes sense but because of the things i mentioned heās not.
i do think ball needs adjustments though.
Doomfist is a buggy mess that is almost constantly broken in one way or another every patch

Simple answer is it MUCH harder to be a āgoodā ball player. An ok Doom fist with a simple rotation of skills can be effective. A ball with basic knowledge of swing and say can do some of his tech like some of time is going to be in a far worse spot. Heāll get stuck in doors and windows and ricochet of things he didnāt expect and get body blocked. He wont know grapple points for environmental kills and to get to hard to reach high ground. Learning ball isnāt just about his skills but how use those skills on every map and every position on those maps. That gets you to plat, then you need to figure out how to play against the many counters Ball has if you want to get higher.

he can literally roll indefinitely around the map at high speed, i dont see how that is less mobility than a winston leap and a genji dashā¦

This is a great description of WB. As a noob I am working my way through all the Heroes and learning the game. WB is great in skilled hands, but it will take me many, many hours to get a modicum of skill on him. Such a cool hero.

What? Ball is straight-up busted right now in the right hands. Good Ball players can delete basically any squishy in the game at-will, and if their opponents swap to counters then it doesnāt really matter because Ball has so much HP and a massive knockback resistance, on top of most of the gameās CC being outright removed. The only 2 heroes that can consistently shut a ball down are Sombra and Mei, and good Ball players still outplay them.
The only players that get more value on Doom than Ball are absolute gods at DF who would likely still hard carry on Ball regardless. If you canāt wreck the enemy supports as Ball then itās a skill issue.
