Why Does Ashe's Dynamite Damage Her?

Junkrat’s and D.va’s Bombs don’t damage them, Pharahs rockets damage her but its greatly reduced, why does Ashe get the full force of her dynamite and its effects on her when it does off?

When junkrat and d.va took damage from their own stuff they were trash.

Ashe’s dynamite is not even close to being the same.

Junkrat is still trash tbh

It does 30-100 damage upfront, with another 75 of burn damage, thats way more than junks bombs ever did to him, and they changed it so that brainless junk and dva mains wouldn’t have to think to hard about aiming or thinking about where to use their abilities, if they don’t have to, why should Ashe?

So you don’t just drop it at your feet and snipe it.

Pharah has self-damage because she’s not really supposed to be close to her targets. Otherwise, she’d just be better Junkrat.

Junkrat doesn’t injure himself because he’s a close-quarters fighter when he’s not spamming grenades, and as we’ve seen in the past, close-quarters fighters who injure themselves are awful.

Ok, i get it now, this is just a rant because “Brainless” heroes have immunity to their own ability while Ashe doesnt.

Explosion damage also hurts the hero itself with the two notable exceptions you pointed out.

Junkrats bombs are his primary…

Ashe can choose not to use her dynamite and still actually do something.

If his primary hitbox size got fixed he would be fine tbh.

Have you tried NOT setting yourself on fire?

Figure it out.

Exactly, that change was just stupid

yeah they do, like zarya’s right click, and pharahs rockets and ultimate, but the damage of those are both greatly reduced for self damage, while Ashe gets the full force of her ability

Those 2 are for gameplay purposes, Junkrat’s kit once had self-damage and his kit was quite ‘unplayable’ in a sense and made no sense to be played like that, literally playing close range and killing you despite playing as intended kit.

D.va’s bomb use to self-damage her, but back in the day, this was changed because if you were to throw the actual bomb, you wouldn’t have enough mobility to get out of the radius of the D.va bomb, which resulted in Baby D.va’s death very often.

Pharah’s rocket deals damage to her because there is no reason for you to shot someone 1 inch away from you, most of the time you’re flying.

Ashe’s dynamite as no other purposes other than dealing damage and DoT far away, unlike Junkrat’s mine that has mobility reason for instance. If you’re gonna drop it at your feet, have yourself a healer around or someone to nullify the effects.

I was gonna be serious by answering just from the first topic, but now that you said it, might as well follow up that kind of comment. They ain’t brainless, you just hate them and want the ‘easy’ kit excuse toward another bunch of characters.

It’s so you have to aim farther to shoot it.

If your dynamite is exploding near you then you are doing something very wrong, bud.

She doesn’t. She takes half damage from all parts, meaning a max of 37.5 damage from the explosion and 50 from the burn for a total of 87.5, as opposed to the 175 that enemies would take

She’s a comedic and campy character that hurts herself once in a while.

Realistically, you can still do the close range suicide shot if you’re standing near a healthpack when you do it. It’s a great way to bait flankers and people trying to close the distance.

Dva’s micro missiles damage her. Junkrat is the only hero in the game where none of his explosives damage him. Dva used to have her Ult damage her but she died to it more than she didn’t, so they removed that.

I STILL duck behind something when I toss Dva bomb sometimes…

Old habits and all that.

The dynamite isn’t even supposed to be close enough to damage yourself. It’s just punishing you for doing your job wrong.
