when they know that the Hanzo ult will out damage it with the grav combo and Mercy damage boost. Wouldn’t Zenyattas just keep their ult since they already know their team is dead?
You seem to have a lot of insight and judgement for a level 29 player.
I mostly play on PS4. Not super great at PC, using a controller is more my style lol. I’m mid plat there and I’ve hit diamond a couple times
A lot of them don’t understand that the hanzo can be damage boosted. Conversely, a lot of mercys and hanzo at that level don’t understand it either. So maybe they are just testing to see
Contrary to that, many people on here don’t understand that PLENTY of Mercy’s don’t utilize their damage boost as they should. In lower ELOs, you’re much more likely to be able to save your team w/ Transcendence than not.
“Why use one ult when the corner case of three ults used simulataneously will outdamage it?”
Honestly, the “clean” grav combos that can’t be healed through are fairly rare.
If you pick Mercy (so she can’t damage boost), or the Hanzo makes a mistake and doesn’t shoot it perfectly center, Trancendence stands a very good chance of preventing your team being wiped.
Mercy’s damage boost isn’t an ult.
Grav Wombos aren’t an outlier. The entire point of Grav is to make womboing easier.
Haha I thought you were just asking why Zenyatta players use Transcendence at all
Not everyone knows that Mercy’s damage boost negates transcendence. I always let my Zenyatta player know at the start of a match, just in case.
you can still save some people depending how close they are to zen in grav
I wanna know why Zenyattas use Ult against things like RIP-Tire, Self-Destruct, and Pulse Bomb
The OP assumes that the team will just stand in Hanzo’s ult and die. Some do. But some are lucky enough to get out of it and get a nice heal when they do.
That’s not to say I immediately pop Transcendence when Hanzo’s ult is used. You have to watch and quickly gauge the situation.
In a related vein, I’ve found Lucio’s ultimate to be very useful against Hanzo’s ultimate. The shield gives players time to move out of the wave where you can then hit boost to keep your team’s health up. People love that.
Same. Makes no sense
Because in his transcended state he acts as a barrier. Anyone behind him can be protected from ults like high noon, dva bomb, riptire etc.
As for why would he use against gravdrag, probably cuz another heal ult like mercy valkrie or Moira orb + heajuice can counter boosted dragons.
