I’m sure everyone who still plays overwatch has some kind of complaint, including me, either that it is unbalanced or that your main character is too weak or that some other character is too strong, despite that we are still here, why? I imagine the reason must be different for everyone.
So tell me what overwatch has that keeps
bringing you back.
And if maybe if the developers see this post Maybe it will help them pay more attention to what really matters in the game.
I no longer have nerves for this game.
If the next battlepass doesn’t have anything worth grinding I am just out for the next few months (assuming anything even changes till then).
No other good multiplayer games really is the main reason
Plus overwatch has a experience that you dont get in any other fps game

My only complaints are about the UI and the lacking progression system and peripheral issues such as those. Everything else is fine to me in terms of balance etc. The heroes I play are mostly fine. JQ maybe could use some buffs if she’s solo tanking, but I only play OQ and she works amazingly well there as part of a tank duo.
Some of my other heroes could maybe use some QoL improvements, but I have made do without them for years so no big deal. Overall, Ana is fine. Ashe is fine. Zarya is fine. Tracer is fine. Mei is pretty decent, maybe could use a wall buff, but still effective most of the time.
Everything wrong with the game for me are things like:
→ The lack of a post-game screen.
→ The poorly implemented scoreboard.
→ The poorly optimized and clunky menus.
→ The content-lacking battlepass.
→ The meager currency rewards.
→ The lack of an overarching progression system.
→ The much too expensive shop.
→ The broken replays.
→ The bugs.
→ The skins missing features.
→ The egregiously poor communication from the dev team.
→ The lack of information about PvE.
→ The ridiculously loose QP matchmaking.
→ The visual clutter.
→ The poor audio quality.
→ The boring, repetitive challenges.
Honestly, I could go on and on in detail about all the peripheral problems the game has, but the actual gameplay is mostly fun (when the matchmaker doesn’t
the bed).

Despite the flaws, the core gameplay always boils down to fun

I hate myself and believe I deserve to be punished by playing a game I don’t like.
Just kidding. It’s fun. If it weren’t fun, I wouldn’t play it. What kind of question even is this?
I’m a fairly new player (started in late October, so post OW2 launch), coming from heavily playing FPSes; a lot of Destiny and Call of Duty over the years.
So the game still feels pretty fresh to me, and I’m genuinely having fun still. I’m more than used to seeing games with narrow metas. On console and mostly playing quickplay, I’m not really running into hard meta compositions often anyway.
I don’t really see myself getting bored quickly; I’m having more fun than I’ve had with most other multiplayer games lately.

I have got enough coins for 2 more battle passes. Once I am forced to pay for anything with real money, I will be finished.
I have fun playing with friends.
Still I play like 2/3 games and then get bored and stop.
Sometimes I quit for weeks, other times I play more frequently, like even every day.
The answer to you question is that sometimes I feel to play OW, because maybe I just want to improve with some Heros or just because my friends ask me to play with them. Eventually the game can be funny. But then my routine happens:
Usually we go QP and I set “everyrole” (We have 2 players that play only support and 3 players DPS main, so we set “fill” to randomly alternate as Tank)
After I met at least 3 of theese 4 particular situation I get bored and I quit.
- Phara or Phara + Mercy forcing the whole team to swap to counter her, things not always possible due to my friends
- Ramattra pressing Q and winning the point by keeping W pressed
- Junkrat spamming mines and bi-shotting people.
- The DPS Moira that promotes herself to flanker and basically annihilate my supports, eventually often losing but fulfilling hers wish to feel like a able-bodied person for once.
The requirement to achieve 3 of 4 situations is usually 2/3 games.
Edit: I forgot there is an other situation: The cheater aim-bot happears. Is does not happens so often like in ranked but still pretty common

Easy to get in games, fun, dynamic (in multiple regards), easy to play with my friends, good feeling flow, interesting diversity in available characters, fun mechanics, fast paced and doesn’t really require a lot of dedication from me, so I’m able to play many other games as well. (former MMO player).
cons:
a good chunk of the community
blizzard
cash grab but not one I usually subject myself to (we’re talking like, I’ve paid for one BP).

probably 1200 hours on OW1, played since closed beta until the hour OW2 came out
no longer playing for half a dozen reasons already covered by pretty much everyone
will see what happens when the Microsoft acquisition completes and the current management find themselves out on their backsides

Right now it’s just my friends keeping me around, honestly.
I’m not exactly hating this game, but I do think blizz has so far failed at making a case as to why it was necessary to completely remove OW1 and force the “sequel” on everyone. I mean it’s clear they did that to bolster their first day numbers on OW2, but still annoying.
Also don’t like how it seems as though all the little things that helped give this game a unique identity are being stripped away. No borders, no more being on fire, no after match cards, no medals, the outlandish ranking system and the fact that MMR is still trying to sober up and give up correct numbers. Obviously I could go on and on here.
And that’s not to mention all the steps taken to combat toxicity that are slowly making this game feel more and more isolating when you play.

Cause EZ and casual. Yet it has a ranked system.
Weird to say, maybe, but there’s a lot wrong with OW, clearly. There’s a LOT wrong with ranked gaming among the most popular games these days, more than there should be. But it’s a game with a basic fun idea, even if it is executed poorly, often. And you play it with other people, the ranked system making me and them want to stick through the game and try a little harder, maybe, for a win.
There are enough good games to overcome the complete disaster games, so for now, it’s alright and fun.
Don’t wait too much from that.
Look what happend with Bethesda : Nothing.
The only good thing will be the departure of Robert K.
Compelling and generally fun gameplay. It’s fun to learn heroes, especially when new ones come out. And even if they didn’t release a new hero recently, it’s fun try some of your least played.
It´s just cool to play. There are 4 or 5 tanks that i could play the entire day nonstop and i would not get tired of
I really like to play bastion too
OW2 has it´s flaws but feels better to play than Ow1 imo
We play for the one good game after nine bads games, and the difficult victory who give us the dopamine discharge who turn us addicted to the game.
