Why do you queue support, then not support?

Legit question. Just had a game where I out healed both an Ana and Illari as 76. Entire team asking them to heal, just to be told they are and to quit crying. Reports all around regardless, but why is this mentality a thing?

Why do you play fake dps role when supports do more damage? Damage role is irrelevant in ow2.

Faster queue times, ain’t too much change in my region. I understand that apparently everyone is queueing support elsewhere, but I just crank out the battle pass challenges with instant queues to be perfectly honest.

I do technically support, but I have no idea what your definition of that is. All I know is that people are rarely happy unless I hardcore babysit them and I do not have the temperament for that given how this community treats supports. Hell nah. You ain’t want to help a fella out and endorse me, you can succ it. I will earn my lack of endorsement, thank you very much.

supports need ways to pick up slack of dps players. be glad you are even allowed to heal at all as a non support hero.

bc dps don’t seem to get the privilege of picking up slack of their supports besides killing so hard no dmg comes in.

Because they can. As long as it’s the people who are controlling the characters, anything goes. Why do some tanks never switch off doomfist/roadhog/wrecking ball? Because they can. Why do some DPS never get off genji/widow? Because they can.

i pick old grandma to pichku heal you all, but then dps widowmaker started saying she was the best sniper and stuff, got to prove her wrong, grandma still got it.

Because Team4 wanted to appeal to dps players within the support role, hence Illari’s existence, and the consequences that you are now witnessing.

Because Blizzard had the brilliant idea of forcing everyone to join all roles for a challenge resulting in throwers that don’t know their roles. Blame Blizzard not the players. If it was just play a number of quick play / MH / arcade games instead of that then most of this could be avoided.

If you outhealed them as S76, they were throwing. Why do people throw? Who knows.

if a Soldier76 doesn’t do dps and only run around healing people, you would think he’s throwing too. There is a line somewhere and you know it.
It’s okay for an Ana to one-trick and still do her job, it’s okay to be bad, but I recognize intentional throwing action when I see one.

My point is that you can’t control other people’s actions. I didn’t say what they’re doing is right. If the supports are not healing at all in comp, report for gameplay sabotage and move on.

Oh, because you said “because they can”, that I thought you actually mean they can, and it is not a reportable offense.

Right and dps have to ability to pick up the slack for supp…. Oh wait they don’t have that. Must be nice when supports are 2 roles in one.

I guess, it just sucks that this was in comp. I’m glad after seeing the preview balance patch that I’ve quit again. No one wants dive but the people who one trick dive heroes.

Supports just don’t do more damage lol

Why does everyone demand supports babysit them… then blame them for their deaths that occour due to their own poor choices?

Dive was absolutely the most boring meta I’ve ever seen outside of GOATS. All I’m saying is that Dive should never be meta again. We dealt with it for years in OW1 and I’m still sick of it.

Honestly, one of the reasons why is the reason why a lot of awful mindsets exist these days.

“I need to carry because my team is bad, and in order to carry I need to kill everything”

So if a fight is lost or a teammate is underperforming, instead of looking at the game and how they can do their job better or differently to impact the game, they out of spite just do damage because it “carries” hardest, despite this just being untrue on so many levels.

It stops being as big of a problem in comp, and stops being a real problem in high Sr barring people just throwing. This is because people generally start understanding the power in the support role and how to actually weave damage in without being neglegant of their other jobs.

Welcome to Overwatch, where ruining your games is a national pass time.

I’d more or less say it’s DPS players queuing Flex and then getting support and just doing what they’re used to. It’s still throwing either way.

Y’all dug this grave when you started complaining about support being too easy and/or healbotting.

Enjoy.
