Why do you main your hero?

Why?

I will start,

I main Ana because I find her enjoyable and fun to play while also being rewarding and quite powerful with enough skill. Her sleep is amazing and her ult makes me feel like I am saving someone from death, because I am.

Whoever I feel like. I usually favor off-meta picks because it feels like an inherent challenge to overcome. I lose interest in heroes that become meta because I get tired of seeing them.

Because Doomfist was so difficult to get value out of that I had to persevere and it was definitely well rewarded. But I’m really a Zenyatta main at heart… His Orb of Distruction is the best weapon in the game.

I mained Hanzo before the rework because I enjoyed him being decent, and liked to rub it in the faces of teammates that immediately got tilted due to him being a “throw pick” when I end up being the most useful dps on the team.

Idk if I’d really call Hanzo my main anymore since he’s become meta though.

Hanzo was probably my favorite character looks wise at the start. And I love games that have bow and arrow play. And for McCree, his playstyle reminded me of the old desert eagle days in CS :slight_smile:

I originally played Symmetra because I hated walking all the way back from spawn and she reminded me of the engineer from tf2. Then I fell in love with her lore. She’s like a morally grey green lantern.

I would’ve said Mercy main, but I haven’t really enjoyed her lately, but I have been enjoying Ana so I am maining her. Ich bin dein Schutzengel

I actually played the open beta of this game because Tracer looked hella fun. Turns out, Lucio was even smoother. I love mobility skills. Not so big into headshots and flicks, to me, nothing is as satisfying as a clean rollout or carefully weaving around enemies.

Hammond is my new favorite for similar reasons.

I love Symmetra, she is one of my favorite heroes. I downright mained her for a whole season because I loved her so much. Still got her golden guns to show my love for her.

It all started when I watched this video:

Around that time I knew that Doomfist was buggy and wouldn’t work, but I curious. I wanted to know how Chipsa managed to make Doomfist work and have fun while playing Doomfist. After watching the video I decided to quit playing Genji (maybe forever) and start playing Doomfist.

I practiced playing Doomfist in deathmatch. I had to ignore the bugs and not get upset (unless it makes me lose the match) and I was having so much fun. After 2 months of practicing Doomfist I decided to take him in comp. I was amazed, I went 8-2 during my placement matches in season 8. I was placed in Diamond for the first time. Before I was playing Doomfist I was a low plat Genji main and I was trying to get his gold weapons, but I changed my mind and got my golden Doomfist gauntlet.

Today I’m definitely better at playing Doomfist. I’m happy that I have a golden Doomfist gauntlet. Whenever I outplay my counters, it just feel so satisfying.

Because she was fun at first and then she turned into a brain dead goose for 15 seconds.

D.Va is pretty fun, though. I suppose the idea of throwing a bomb that never kills anyone is a fun idea.

I can relate to this too hard. On PC I am locked to Moira, Mercy, Winston, Brigitte, Reinhardt, and Symm-…oh she got changed and is worse than before…Okay

I main Hammond, mostly because he is adorable but also because I adore his mobility, it’s my favourite feature in any character,

I also main Winston, also for the adorable and mobile reasons.

He is one of my favorite heroes by design, though I like supporting my team more than tanking. Still love them!

Sombra,

No other hero can give me the evil smirk I get when hacking a Mcree right after they start high noon, environmental kills from hacking people over pitfalls, or get doomfist right before he lets RP loose.

Doesn’t always work out, but when it does…
