Why do you hear the "enemy" ult voice line when your character ults and not the "team" voice line?

I’ve been thinking about this for too long and it seems weird to me.

Cause the enemy one is about 9000 times cooler.

As far as I can remember, when I ult I hear the ally voice line

It depends on the hero.

I know for Mercy you hear the allied one when you ult, but for Reaper, Soldier and McCree, you hear the enemy one.

The different voice lines are there to distinguish between whether it’s a friendly or enemy ulting. When you yourself are ulting, then you don’t need that distinguishing feature.
