Why do you guys think Brig is bad?

She’s been performing poorly on the ladder for months. She’s been consistently bottom 2 in usage and winrate among supports. In GM the past month, she’s bottom 3 in pickrate for supports, with the LOWEST winrate.

Her shield is laggy and inconsistent. She’s run over by Rein/Zar, something incredibly common on ladder. She’s not particularly intuitive, being a melee character that isn’t actually supposed to be in melee range often.

Even in OWL, she’s primarily there to enable/disrupt the god-tier Tracers they have on their teams. For the period where Tracer was banned, her usage dropped like rock.

People think she’s bad because she’s BAD.

Brig is so bad.

The only reason why brig isn’t a top pick right now is because most teams are just not running comps that dont favour brig like orisa dva or sig orisa mirrors.

It’s probably cause I’m playing Moira, but I really hate playing against a Brigitte lol, I feel like I can’t kill anything lol, but surely it must be the same for others?? The second Brigitte is on the field my impact in the match is slashed by 50% or more.

She is really good against heroes that nobody plays because meta heroes already stomp them into the dirt.

Moira value is slashed by 50% while winstons value is slashed by 80%.

it’s a yikes for tank players

Well yeah, I can still heal but the other half of my kit is rendered basically useless. And I don’t wanna get off Moira but I have no choice, glad to know I’m not the only one who feels the same way though.

The reason she is “bad” for most of the ladder is because the playerbase sucks at her.

Brig is good with and against dive along with being gone in double shield.

Everybody thinks Brig’s job is to be this frontline hero just because she has a Melee hero which is just wrong.

Your job is to properly use your cooldowns to disrupt enemy movement abilities and ults and other things such as micro missiles and to confirm a kill on a target.

While Mercy would be better against brawl you can be able to not get ran over by a brawl by playing as a middle man.

It feels like the playerbase has alot of catching up to do with this hero.

Your job is to proc inspire with whipshots which is easy to hit on tanks and pack your dps or anyone you see get low especially your other support.

Or in some situations you can swing at some and instantly bash away.

You’re a support not a Reinhardt and it’s about time the playerbase learns the basic fundamentals of this hero.

She is strong and saying she is weak is a myth

This is how they all used to play her, when she was “OP” I was playing her in the back lines still LOL, the way she’s supposed to be played now is how I’ve always played her. so glad they changed her from being a complete stomper.

I remember times people would go Lucio and Brig duos to run around spawn camping people etc and there was basically nothing you could do lol

I said op in quotations btw because she was more like a raid boss lol

Literally the only time you frontline is in a brawl mirror and your other support is Moira, Mercy or Bap and you don’t have to play in the backline because they won’t be there and they can all sustain her in the frontlines.

Even then she still needs and basically has been for awhile needed to be behind the tanks

don’t think I’ve seen anyone playing backline Brigitte in QP or QPC lol they just always play her like OG

:japanese_goblin: prob the same ones who say she is worst support

It’s a moot point either way. They’ve essentially admitted she’s being reworked again for OW2, and that’s why she wasn’t ready for any of those gameplay previews a few months ago.

Regardless of how strong you think she is, almost no one wants to actually play her the way she’s balanced right now. Standing in the back to throw packs and poke with Whipshot is about the most boring playstyle you could make for a character in this game.

If I had to guess, at least some players who claim she is weak are trying to play her like how she was when she initially released. Which obviously, doesn’t work

sometimes it works given the right situation (brawling like a tank). i still play her a bit like i use too but now you know your very weak compared to before have to stay close to your team as much as possible. before she could solo stuff lol was fun as hell

what is WAY different then before is that she use to bully rein indefinetely. now its you better stay as far away from him as you can or youll get swiped like a fly. i mean i like that change it was silly that a support player would render rein useless

Even doing that is risky if enemy has a proper brawl comp. (Rein dva/zar)

wtf? calling brig worst support when moira exists…?

Yeah Ik that’s why I said sometimes and it’s with the supports who can keep her up in it also add Ana to this since it isn’t against dive

Measured aggression is like, basically how you play half the heroes in this game though. You pick or poke until you have a clear advantage, then pile in and run the other team over. Brigitte is very, very good at both of those things, while also being good at repelling rush/dive attempts.

The perception of a hero being bad doesn’t mean the hero is actually bad. Never forget that these forums thought Genji needed buffs, even though he was statistically performing fine in every elo based on Blizzard’s internal metrics.

It’s mostly people too used to brig 1v6ing like in s10. Now those people just feed and cry.
