It’s always been a given that replay codes get wiped when a new content update drops, but why?
I’d like to hold on to my replay codes for a while. I wouldn’t mind if they just deleted the ones that you didn’t pin but this just feels rough especially if you pin ones right before an update happens
The majority of people probably don’t even care but I do, so I want to know if theres any confirmed reason for them doing this.
Things change, thats why. Replays are rendered from scratch, not recorded, so if they change a hero’s ability in a patch, it would make the replay all weird and things would start to really not line up.
Well surely that doesn’t matter if I just want to review my performance and compare how I did to previous games.
It’s also completely optional to pin and remove the pin on your replays which makes it even stranger why this is still a thing.
