Any change the developers have made is a negative impact for Lucio.
For a character that is solely useful in helping other players, why is he so discouraged?
the changes that have “balanced” are as follows (to the best of my memory):
- reduce his range from line-of-sight to a small radius around him
Good luck getting your teammates to group up for that ultimate
- his ultimate can be easily interrupted and negated entirely.
This change was for some other chars, i believe, but completely demoralized Lucio-mains. The point of having a support that can’t do much damage (or healing) was his strong ultimate. Well, hack and EMP strips those shields for the few people that were close enough to get them from Lucio’s ult.
- Hack now strips Lucio of any ability except movement and his worthless gun.

- Mei can now freeze Lucio faster.
Mei always was able to freeze Lucio with ease. If he doesn’t run at the sight of her, he already gets frozen/headshot.
I think there is more, but cant remember.
So now Lucio is always a bad pick outside of the seasonal capture-the-flag.
At least the devs should own up to their Lucio-hatred. Give all the characters a new emote where they destroy Lucio’s walkman in unique ways, like the dance emotes. Lucio’s emote can just be him crying.

I honestly agree with all of your points, he used to be super meta in s1-s3(?) and been in the ground ever since.

I have so many hours towards my Lucio mastery and they are all just pointless now. your Lucio skills aren’t welcome here. At least everyone isn’t begging healers to play Mercy anymore.
Just write into the story-line how Lucio died doing something heroic. At least let him rest in peace.

I wish that were true. I really do.
In the patch notes for Mei, they specifically cite that they want her to freeze Lucio faster.

yeah because he was almost impossible to freeze if the lucio was decent. Mei’s don’t even target lucios so I don’t know what you’re on about.

This Nerf is to harsh and the Buff is a Mercy 2.0 Buff to much.

this is really sad to read as a lucio main 
I honestly think no one at the company plays Lucio regularly, if at all. There have been nerfs that have gone live (some subsequently fixed), that even casual Lucio players spot immediately.

Ok… I see that lucio gets shut down but I feel people are over reacting like lucio will also be the exclusive target of Sombra. Lucio will probably be with the majority of his team to help him if he is hacked, and his ult can be denied. But everyone’s can like how transcendence can me bio naded or hooked away. Nano can be focused, Valk… well I still can’t hit the moth, and coalescence can also be stunned and out damaged
Still with these changes he is my go to healer for some cases
by “spot” you mean died to sombra, which happened anyway? Lucios fine, git gud.
