Usually mice (or more specifically sensors) are borderline indistinguishable at the high end and I’d think people would just choose their preference but it seems like 80% use Logitech, why so?
most likely because of the g pro wireless
$ and then there is $ and sometimes its for $
Preference? I’m no pro and like Logitech products over others.
Their wireless technology is great, their mouse size is medium-large. The mouse size fits the hands for most people that are not Orientals since our hands are small, but it’s not uncomfortably big if we did use Logitech with our smaller hands. Most of all, due to their robust Logitech Gaming Software. The last part is pricing. Their product pricing is extremely competitive.
Since the release of Logitech G Hub, however, are turning people off and moving to other series. They didn’t learn from Razer’s history with Razer Synapse and how it push people away from using their products. As someone who owns a lot of Logitech product, I’m considering looking at other companies since I do not like Logitech G Hub. But I am not making the switch anytime soon since I am mostly repurchase their older tech that works with Logitech Gaming Software until I see an improvement with the Logitech G Hub software.
Logitech has the best laser on the market for mice that’s probably got a lot to do with it.
I swapped from the razer death adder to the Logitech g403 about a year ago and I never looked back, Logitech does make very good mice
idk if you’ve ever tried one, but if you like lightweight mice I compel you to try the Logitech g403
That feeling, when you switched from G403 because it was too heavy
I tired other brands and they always seem very cheap and flimsy compared to logitech
I use Logitech G305, very light. I wanted to buy the Logitech G604 as my MMO mouse, but because that mouse is force to use Logitech G Hub, I’m thinking of purchasing the older Logitech G602 instead at half the price. Same reason why I’m sticking to my old G502 instead of purchasing their latest wireless G502.
I still use the Logitech G13 to do work, and I don’t like the idea of having two software installed and trying to control the same devices, worrying that some form of conflict between the two driver making it worse.
I used to use Razer products, but I switch to Logitech when we’re force to use Razer Synapse, a very buggy software. Even after many iterations, Razer Synapse is still buggy as hell.
bro I cant imagine what you use, the G403 feels like its not there for me
I switched to G305.
I just installed back the G403 to have some fun and man, its really heavy.
Even though I use single AAA battery through adapter.
G305 with battery weights less than G403 without batteries.
I was thinking of swaping to the gpro or the wireless version of the g403 the weight isn’t an issue, how is the g 305 in responsiveness?
yea, it’s a very good mouse. I feel in love with it for fps games and I’m so glad it works on the older Logitech Gaming Software.
I really do wish Logitech improve their Logitech G Hub. I don’t plan on going back to Razer, so if I do make the switch, I probably check out Corsair peripherals.
If I ever go back to Razer, it will be primarily for their gameboards only since Logitech has abandon their Logitech G13. It really streamline my productivity when I’m drawing. Clip Studio Paint (Manga Studio) have release their Tab Mate, so I have that alternative.
The art community also told me I can consider getting joytokey and use it with gaming devices. For example, with the Nintendo Switch Controllers.
I have alot of logitech products. Their mice are pretty good. G403 is probably the best mouse I ever played with and I can’t switch anymore. Specific buttons break fast though but you can replace the shell for a cheap price.
I also have a g13 keyboard (with joystick) because I play with the joystick in overwatch. Best (only) real analog joystick keyboard on the market. The joystick is trash and I usually end up ironing another joystic on the PCE. That way the keyboard is perfect.
When it comes to headsets I don’t recomend the g432. It is cheap for its price and has super cool features a good mic (uni-directional I think) and good sound but I bought two of them and both broke at the same spot. The material used is just trash in my opinion. I have anothe logitech where I dont know the serial number. Good headset again. Not the best mic though. Omni-directional that just pics up every noise in the room. Every headset has a sidetone feature that is super amazing in my opinion. Turtle beach makes headphones with this feature as well. Otherwise I don’t know alot of brand that do this. If you want that feature then you almost have to buy logitech because it is not supported by alot of soundcards either and with a good isolated headset you end up not hearing yourself.
However in point of headset quality I think logitech could step up their game and make higher quality headsets with better mics and better material.
Same with G403, same sensor in both.
It works really long time.
Both mice in terms of sensor feels strange but playable.
I stop using Logitech Gaming Headset. I find them all to be gimmicks and heavy.
I use a Bose earbuds and get an pc audio/mic jack to phone jack instead. I lose some audio quality from the audio converter, but it still picks up all the sound and the lightweight of it is a blessing. I am still trying to find higher quality audio converter that does not provide any audio quality lost.
Unfortunately I can’t use my Sennheiser BTNC 4.50 headset bluetooth. I can do it for audio, but I don’t want to stick a mic mod on it since I use it as my earmuff going out during the cold weather, lol.
I’m actually interested on whether or not Logitech will continue making racing game peripherals, and will they change their force feedback for their steering wheel. Thrustmaster has always been dominating it in the budget area for steering wheels, but they are fragile wheels unless you’re willing to invest in thousands for other higher end brand that are very durable like the Fanatec.
I think it’s a combination of a few factors.

Legacy. For a long time the 3366 was the top sensor on the market. Period. It had no equal or competition. If you were serious about pro gaming, you were playing on a Logitech. The current day hero sensor is an improved version of the 3366. It has a lot more competition, but I suspect a lot of pros just stuck with Logitech thanks to the fact that the 3366 was so dominant.

Logitech is one of the few mouse companies willing to invest in R&D. Most other companies just rehash old designs and parts, whereas Logitech invested a ton of time and money just to figure out what shape the G pro wireless should be. Again, competition is starting to heat up in this regard as well, but the fact that Logitech was one of the first and most aggressive investors fosters brand loyalty.
-
Sponserships. Logitech was handing out sponserships like candy to pros for a while there. If you’re sponsered by Logitech, you have to use a Logitech mouse of course. Even after the sponsorship stopped, a lot of players are going to keep using Logitech mice because they are used to them.

Lightspeed wireless tech. Again it has some competition now, but it was the first and only option for a long time. It’s also truly incredible to get wired response times or even better on a wireless mouse. Razor’s new tech has just surpassed it, but only just barely (to the point where you could legitimately claim there is no difference) and Corsair is not far behind, but by this point lightspeed wireless tech is a well-known and trusted technology.
I think it all comes down to Logitech’s willingness to invest and innovate. The fact that they are first with all of these amazing technologies helps foster brand loyalty, and that impacts the pro scene a ton.
Switching from Razer/steelseries to logitech taught me the reason why, these logitech gaming mice have better grips and glide than all of the other branded mice I’ve ever used. From the way it is shaped to the difference of curved gel pads on the bottom that just glide better than all of the other more rubbery pads on steelseries/razer.
As someone who has been using a G mouse for almost two years, I can see why. This thing is amazing. It’s also my first wireless mouse, and I never want to go back to wires. I feel so free!
Logitech likes giving them free stuff. They’re also the most expensive so most pros probably think that translates to better performance
