Why do players leave then instantly come back? I know it resets their in game stats, but is there something else that they are doctoring?
they dont want to play a specific match, leave, join the queue again, and rejoin the game because the slot wasnt filled by someone else.

Why do people pick tanks and healers for the last 10 seconds of a match after going full dps for the entire round?

When you leave a game and immediately requeue, the matchmaker wil first attempt to put you back in the former game, because it thinks that you disconnected. That’s why you often see people join-leave-join-leave-etc…
I understand how the system works. But it seems like the people who leave then instantly join back also know the system. They do it because it resets their in-game stats, but I’m wondering does that have any effect on their MMR?

Sometimes people have connection issues, and quickly reset their Internetz, which results in leaving the game briefly and joining again.
