Why Do People Throw?

i dont really understand why people do the smart and intelligent things that they do, i think im being infectted by m.r content cause the amount of throwing over tthere is insane.

I just do not care anymore. Especially if I get teammates who do not care.

Actually the better way to put it is.

There is no real competition in the game. I don’t think any of these TikTok generation can actually hold their ult and combo.

The peak of over watch was teamwork. That would mean lot of team work.

Probably just doing as they think their teammates are. There’s other possible reasons though.

They probably think theres no way to win or maybe they really dislike their own team.

People throw unfortunately for a variety of reasons.

  1. after their first death
  2. u emoted wrong
  3. someone picked a hero they don’t like
  4. last games dps now this gamea tank, no heals cuz last game u won
  5. not enough heals
  6. not enough dps
  7. sombra on enemy team
  8. apathy

Ad infinitum.

If my 6v6 oq team is garbo, then I just give up and get off supp or Dva and I start practicing Ashe. Hopefully, I switch early enough to get credit for the play heroes not in top 3 challenge. Simple as.

huh you do play the game, ive found much the same sentiment in 6v6

Wtf is that even supposed to mean? Ive never said I dont play the game. I always say Kiri supremacy for a reason.

Who knows what he’s even saying tbh. He makes no sense. Maybe english isn’t his first language.

im not here to talk about off topic discussions, please refer to the rules.

Its just classic FrolickAX.

sorry i dont speak parseltongue

It’s about the atmosphere that your team has. If your team is consistently paying attention to you and the game and playing it properly in a team oriented manner everyone tends to play really well regardless of the start and the outcome of the match. However if someone is just there blasting some cringe spotify playlist while tunnel visioning forwards with the only goal being to click at the red shaped silly goons and heavily disregards all of the previously mentioned: the whole team starts to struggle which leads to the other players usually swapping to their “winrate sink heroes” and just do whatever to take the L and move on.

I think when it reaches around the their 14th loss in a row their spirit is kind of broken and they just slump.

True, they shouldn’t be playing at that moment, but you have to feel kinda sorry for them that the matchmaker has kicked them in the teeth so hard they don’t feel anything anymore.

i can see it in quickplay and its still frustrating but the game doesnt mean anything. if it happens in comp tho, that is very unfortunate. one of the reasons i also dont play that mode since it use to happen quite a bit

dont know if it still does much since i hardly play comp anymore

some people throw because they see other throwers throwing. which starts this weird chain

the thrower will sometimes sit game after game throwing because its “funny”

which means essentially theyre creating waves in which a bunch of people are around the world just sitting doing
nothing…

Because if in gold 1 I play into a diamond 1 player in comp is already lost inside the spawn. So the result will be the saame even if I try.

too many people play to win instead of to improve, and live in the delusion that theyre held back by their teammates. Once they feel they’re in a difficult game, they give up.

In my experience, when I’m in a depressive episode and isolating, I play a lot of overwatch, and bully myself really hard. As soon as I start feeling like I’m not pulling my weight, I spiral down and start feeding hard because I give up. Usually that ends with spending the rest of the day in bed.

Not saying everyone who throws has problems, but I think a lot of people just find it too hard to actually try, for whatever reason.
