I’m a top 500 support main on console. I’ve played on my friends PC who is ranked diamond and I do fine, even though I never used kbm in my life? Like the only difference between console and PC is aiming. I have the game sense to be top 500 on Xbox, I see no reason why I couldn’t do it on PC with practice to my kbm aiming.

Only people trying to start an argument or denigrate someone say things like that. This myth was disproven years ago by DSPStanky, a Lucio main who was the forefather of modern Lucio play. He started on Xbox as a top 500, got told he was inferior because he was on console, opened a PC account, and became top 500 there.

Go for it. The only issue might be the amount of people you’ll surpass with your skills. Which isn’t a bad thing.
I’ll never be T500 in any game ever so I commend your effort and hope you make it, if you do decide to pursue that.

I’m gold on pc. I doubt I’d be top 500 on console lmao. I’d probably be bronze on console. I can’t play fps with a controller.

Because that would be true for aim intensive games. But in Overwatch you skills like positioning, situational awareness, and game/map knowledge are more important than aiming. Just go see where Dr. disrespect places in this game.

Top 500 on console easily can be top 500 on pc so long as you can make the transition aim wise. That’s not a big issue. It simply would come with time.

I’ve played on both, please enlighten me. I actually noticed no difference between pc and console apart from my own skill.

Its bs, most t500 console players who switched to pc got also t500 on pc.
T500 pc game will always look more epic and fast then t500 console game, just because controller is trash compared to kbm; however it doesnt mean that the player cant get same rank on pc…
t500 console game can LOOK like plat because the movement is bad on controller, however i bet most people have almost same rank on pc and console if they play both.

I’ve had friends who were top 500 on console switch to pc and very easily get to masters and then grind back to gm. I think as soon as you’re able to get over the mechanical difference of a controller versus mouse and keyboard and learn the different aim it’s really the same game. Some heroes it’s probably much easier to adjust to switching platforms on like I had a friend who was a Rein otp on console switch to pc and it took him like a week to be gm on pc.

If you play a mechanic heavy hero and is a top500 on console then I can see you derank a bit on PC.
If you play a game sense heavy hero then playing on PC shouldn’t make a big difference.
don’t worry, top 500 and gm aren’t even top 500 and gm on pc anymore.
thanks to the brilliant brand new matchmaking the rank reset at launch we now have a mixture of gold plats and diamonds up in top 500!

Because i can get top 500 on console, then play on PC and show off my top 500. Because its shared. lol.
Top500 on console definetly isnt Top500 on PC.
I don’t know what rank it would compare to I would probably say around Plat simply because
Plat-Diamond is all about mechanics and if they transfered to PC they wouldn’t have the mechanics
Masters+ Is mostly gamesense and I don’t think Console is nearly as teamwork based as PC is so their gamesense would 100% be lower than a Masters PC player.
As sad as it is thats just how it is.
Theres a reason why they get pro PC players and not “Pro console players” there is clearly some sort of skill gap.

I’ve been top 500 on both. I think GM+ on PC the players are better on PC but outside of that not much difference
Never understood this. I’m not top500 but when I did play pc I went from low masters on PlayStation to mid diamond on pc with a controller and no aim assist playing bap/Ana.
