Why do people put so much stock on selfish abilities?

Her AoE is easier to use and damages/slows more than Sym’s sentries.

She is everywhere in low ranks and usually the highest damage DPS.

If she is all aim and no ‘‘easy’’ damage then surely removing the damage and slow of her AoE wont have any impact and the skillful will still be skillfully skilled with her skilled skillful kit, right?

Sym’s sentries are huge for defense/ control points. They stay there until broken can’t compare the two.

It’s a grenade, compare it to anti. Anti is a better ability.

Anti doesnt last in the ground for several seconds, and Sentries are instantly destroyed the moment someone farts in their direction.

Sentries that arent damaging an enemy have no value.

But also you have to throw sentries too.

Anti gives AOE healing and negates it, way stronger than Sojourns nade. You healbots wanna talk about broken abilities look at the support roster.

Yes. And? If you miss with it, it has no value. Sojourn can throw her massive AoE indestructible super sentry field and get value even if she misses it, because its a lasting AoE that damages and slows. It will last there several seconds, denying that area and enabling her kills one way or another.

Its strong to the point that she, as an sniper, can counter Genji much better than Symmetra ever will.

If you don’t think her mobility benefits the team then you straight up don’t understand the game. Mobility equals positioning. If she can do 5dps then she’s making more value than health station.

easy answer yea, her slide is 6 secs her railgun overcharge has no cd and comes out instantly, and can charge in 1.5 secs. No other character in the game as that level of mobility horizontally and vertically, and no other character has a one shot come up that often without having to stand still looking down a scope. So yes, shes overpowered just in logic, you barely have to play to understand that. Im tired of getting sojourns in my games that got there because they just played her, with 0 game sense, and 0 understanding of the game and are now throwing because they never deserved that rank in the first place. And its not a little more dps, youre underplaying, its a one shot doesnt matter how much damage she is doing when it charges that fast, and allows an insta kill above 81%. This thread is top trolling.

My most played heroes are Soldier, Hanzo, Mei, Genji and Symmetra. I am more of a tank player than a support player lmao.

The difference here is that I dont blame supports or tanks for my own player mistakes, which you obviously love to do. You mald and seethe when you lose a 2v1. Mercy fills you with salt and rage and its honestly entertaining to watch how you lose it over the worse support in the game.

This thread is like the twilight zone. We have people trying to claim that Sojourn isn’t mobile or that Disruptor Shot is bad. As well as believing that a hero being a real threat and putting pressure on the enemy team doesn’t benefit their own team at all.

I’ve also been wondering when the first Sojourn main shows up to defend the vile insult to DPS players who put efford into learning a variety of Heros to have a facette of utility and ability, just for blizz to add something that arguably does everything the entire DPS role does in a plump, dumpy, Canadian package.

they intended for them to be a hybrid and overtuned them as the game was new, for money. they will balance it onpar afterwards, when the hype dies down.

That’s not my issue with her. My issue is that I don’t think she should allowed to one shot and have incredible mobility, and have something to slow enemies down AND have an M1 that’s great too.

Personally, I wouldn’t have given her mobility. She would have been a mid ranger that’d need to shoot her way out of situations, or slow enemies to escape or give her a better shot.

Sourjon’s ult is just her M2 loading faster. Which means that a normal attack is so strong that had the power of an ult. She also can deny some areas just by pressing E and her slide can be used way too often. So she is powerful. Too powerful tbh.

The problem is not her selfish abilities or something like that, but the fact that not many other heroes are able to have that same overpower kit.
