I find that mei and lucio players do this the most

Supposedly (I’ve never tried this):

  • Join voice chat
  • Hope the spammy player is in voice chat
  • Mute the microphone of the player to also mute their character

Nowadays, you can also universally mute all in-game voices in the audio settings, if you want, and turn on the “critical” subtitles to replace them. You might lose directionality for enemy ultimate/ability callouts, though.

You have to mute the textchat from the spammer to mute his voicellines.

I came across a couple “someone call the whambulance” spammers at some point this week. sure is spam worthy

It’s a legit strat to distract you. If you are paying attention to me saying ‘Have some Lucio-oh’s, can’t stop won’t stop, can you hear me now?’ then you are paying less attention to the fact that my Rein is behind your whole team with earthshatter.

I don’t know why I find it funny, but I do. I even love it when my enemies and teammates spam.

But hearing a Doomfist spam the same voiceline all the time gets annoying fast

it’s like the Lenny faces on TF2, funny when you first few times saw it, but after awhile you know it’s just a 12 year old moron who thinks he’s funny by spamming online.
