Why do people have a go at supports?

Just be happy they bothered to play the role to begin with :person_shrugging:

Its pretty easy to just blame your supports because ā€œIf I die, that means I didn’t get healedā€

That’s why you should flame first and complain DPS aren’t doing dmg.

I could say the same for tanks. Everyone is human and will naturally have their own ideas and opinions of right and wrong. So no two support players will play exactly the same in every situation. The same goes for tanks and even DPS. Be nice to each other and ask for help when you need it…

Because apparently it’s always our fault that they go in 1v5 and die

If I am on DPS, a loss is support and tank’s fault
If I am on support, a loss is DPS and tank’s fault
If I am on tank, a loss is DPS and support’s fault

I will say ā€œlol, ezā€ if I win, and report my team for throwing if I lose. Welcome to Overwatch

Here’s the thing about most people - they are stupid. They are stupid and they think they are better than they are, think they deserve more than they have, and would rather scapegoat anything and everyone else before blaming themselves.

Well, it has to be someone elses fault and support is the one who can affect the tank and dps most directly. So obviously it is the supports fault.

Well duh, if you weren’t bad at healing they would’ve 1v5d by themself

this is joke

Its not a ā€œspecial thingā€ that is happening to Supports. People have been blaming DPS for years, but now we have Scoreboards and we can see if they are actually healing or not.

Bad Supports are exposed right now, that’s all there is.

Because I play support - and I when I don’t and I know there’s been a big fat heal me marker on me for ages, and I have to abandon my role and run off for a health pack or spawn, then it’s support that is ruining the team dynamic and greatly increasing the chance of a loss and very unsatisfying no-contest game.

Its bad to go fully by the stats as you can’t possibly heal a dps who is going 1v5 and getting immediately one shot, so your heal numbers are low. Seen this complaint from terrible dps that run in over and over without their team and die then complain healing is low.

When getting flamed by teammates, I tend to say thanks to the enemy for tilting whichever teammate(s) it is that are mad.

People also get flamed while having good healing numbers lol.

But I do agree that healing numbers don’t tell much of a story. An ana could be healing less than a Moira, but get great nades and sleeps every fight.

Its best to not put anything in chat except for ā€œGL HFā€

I feel like the scoreboard either doesn’t get used or doesn’t show you the right information. Yes it shows you their healing and deaths, but it doesn’t show how much we are fighting the enemy dps flanking us to stay alive.
There’s a lot of information not shown on the scoreboard that greatly impacts the supports ability to heal the rest of the team

Numbers aren’t the whole picture - could be the healer just focussed tank the whole game - but you know this.

What does GL HF mean?

Good luck, have fun (20 characters)

Same can be said for dps, you see moira do massive damage over a game, but the majority of it is her just throwing mindless dps balls into the team and it getting healed up. Whereas kiriko would do less damage over the game but if she headshots and kills someone its a quick kill, not poke damage that will be healed.

If my support can’t use half their kit and is not doing any damage it’s pretty much my fault as dps. They should not have to constantly heal me. People in low ranks need to learn to avoid damage and position. High heal numbers often mean someone fu*** up. Obviously healing is needed, but the amount of healing is sometimes ridiculous.
