Why do people get mad

Why do people get mad when you match their energy? No one wants to swap while being countered. DPS isn’t killing anything. Why get so mad when I start dpsing as a healer instead of healing? Why dont we just all throw so the game can end, gessshh

People get angry when the rest of their team isn’t reading their mind and going along with the plans they aren’t communicating. Doesn’t matter how you play.

It’s overwatch.

just had that game, dps playing genji and pharah into winston soldier cass ana zen… spent all game doing nothing but dying, I asked several times if we could get a reaper or a hitscan and nothing. I just gave up on them, pretended they didn’t exist and dps’d until my ana or tank needed healing. Doesnt make a difference either way, impossible to win with dps like that (and why are SO many dps like that???)

I wouldn’t call it getting mad, but it is not as if I enjoy when our supports throw a temper tantrum.

As you’re finding out, most of the community is pretty bad at the game.

Strangers act strange. If you want less of that, form a group of people who also want to do the thing. Tends to work better.
It’s rough in the solo life otherwise. Coin-flips would be generous.

Why do some playets make no attempt to learn the game, or grow as players… and allow their wilful ignorance to detrimentally impact the experience of others?

And then cant figure out why so many people rage at them… because they all must be “toxic” it has nothing to do with me ignoring objectives and TRYING to farm kills…

My point being… cause and effect… if a lot of people are raging at you, theres likely a reason why…

I generally dont get raged at when playing normally… but the moment pistol only mercy comes out, people raging at me non-stop…

More often than not its more a two wrongs dont make a right situation…

Many people don’t understand the game. I’ve had teammates in comp angrily demand me to swap off Lucio even whilst we were dumpstering the enemy team. They are usually the 1 person that dies off cooldown in all our team fights haha. I just laugh at them and tell them to learn how to use cover.

I do swap, when I see somethings not working. But why TF do some people demand swaps when we’re hard winning? Confounding.

We can hard carry the team and or be deadweight, but the toxic will always be the same. This is such a true statement.

if you are not playing the role you have queued for, you are basically the one throwing. Being better than your dps is cool but then who is healing? Surely your dps can’t do that without being on support.

The game relies on teamwork way too heavily and it is enough just one to be playing their role wrong to make the whole team fail.

Back in my day when people were breaking controllers over pong

Really though growing up i had rage gamer friends, but for the most part they only played sports games, maybe tetris or something. Now it seems like people who clearly dont like pvp especially in a team, play team based shooters all day.

Yeah when I’m at fricken 12 solo kills and we still lose, I don’t even.

and sometimes theres good reason to swap. Getting focused.? Refuse to swap… congrats you just basically made your match 4v5…

Whos the bad guy when i go pistol only mercy? Me, or the people raging…

The poing being its often provoked to some degree… those who cant admit that are typically the worst offenders. … i mean im a part time troll. And even i can admit that i provoke a lot of rage…

Its a team focused game, that INDIVIDUAL players tend to ignore and allow their selfishness and willful ignorance to detrimentally impact the experience of others…

Both sides are part of the problem …

Because if they weren’t killing anything before they are def not gonna start now that you’re not healing.

No. If you’re stomping the enemy team, absolutely stomping, there is absolutely no reason to swap. Nor is there any reason to ask anyone to stop.

And if we had a matchmaking system instead of a marketing tool… stomps would be an abnormally instead of a normality

As you mentioned playing lucio, what if your other support is a zen that refuses to swap… yea if the match is stacked like they commonly are… sure you win that…

But if teams were even… its most likely to fail miserably…

I used to be the guy who raged… but ive come to realize tryharding is the problem…

As selfish/ignorant players rely on the matchmaking system to carry them… and the matchmaking expects players like me to do it…

So ive decided if i get circus teammates to stop trying to be the ringmaster and just enjoy being another clown…

Im thr guy who carrys a match 75% of the way though, then stops trying… instead focusing on boosting my scoreboard stats…

Just because its funny watching those players blame each other for the loss… because they lack the understanding to comprehend why they steamrolled 75% then fell apart…

The joys of being decent solo queue player… as well as part troll

Mr Whipple why are you playing what ifs? There is no what ifs.

I stated exactly what happened. My team was stomping them. My Lucio pick was why we were stomping them, they had no answer to me and my goated Reinhardt speeding into their faces the whole round, whilst I bullied their backline and booped them into my Rein. Their Ana couldn’t shut my Rein down because I was shoving some sick beats down her throat and forcing her to waste (and miss) her cooldowns on me.

There’s no what ifs. As I stated before, if something is not working, meaning we are not winning, I will reflect on the best hero to play. But everything was working, we were demolishing. It was my 1 DPS teammate who was off on a flank in narnia land with no cover, losing a 1 v 1 and getting killed every fight demanding me to swap Lucio because he thought I wasn’t healing enough.

We won the game with roughly 4 minutes to spare and my Rein talked up at the end asking my DPS teammate wtf was he smoking?

You could probably jump off the map and still win when you get one of those lobbies.

I find that a lot of the time, players are unwilling to learn the game, unwilling to group up, so they are constantly trickling in, than whine about unfair matchmaking.

They treat the game like every death match game rather than a team game.

Nah. If I did that my Rein would have been getting naded and slept and would have a much harder time closing the gap to the enemy. The synergy was too strong between us.
