I don’t even know why I almost exclusively play female characters. Whenever I play male characters I feel uneasy or all the male character play styles just don’t suit me. Except McCree. I can pick him up and its just a more grounded widow to me. But other than that I feel so comfortable no matter which female character I pick up at any given time. I hope the next hero in November is female. Specifically Recluse or Junker Queen.

Who I play the most is Widow, Tracer, Dva, Sym, Moira, and Sombra. For me I think it’s just a coincidence because I like their play styles. But yea they’re all female

Besides Lucio I think all my picks are female. Just I picked up D.Va and Mercy when I started.
Why do you make threads like this?
My friend is the opposite of me. He will never touch a female character ever. He accidentally touched mercy and panicked.

While I don’t have a problem playing any human, animal or omnic no matter its gender in OW, I do understand where you are coming from.
I’ll always have male toons in my MMORPGs or a male main character in singleplayer RPGs. A lot of it has to do with wanting to be immersed.

Maybe you can relate to the female heroes the most?
I tend to play characters i can relate to in most video games.

Well, I’d say remember that the heroes are all different from one another and you’re going to naturally gravitate to some of them and naturally gravitate away from others.
Like you said, McCree works for you because he’s a lot like Widow, who apparently you already resonate with.
D.Va and Zarya are my favorite tanks to play because I can really get my head around their gameplay. Rein is my least favorite, not because of the character himself, but because I don’t gel well with in-your-face-brawly style heroes. I feel awkward on Brigitte for the same reason. Playing at midrange with a specific eye towards helping and protecting my teammates is my jam, so any heroes that fit that description make me happy.
Keep in mind, too, that Overwatch is one of a very few games with such a robust roster of female heroes to pick from, so if you play, say, five heroes really comfortably, and four of them are female, that’s not as surprising as it would be in games with male-dominated rosters.
