I am having trouble staying in a group. I join a group, and as soon as they hear my voice, they either kick me out immediately, or after losing a game. I don’t know what gives? Is it because people hate me? What am I doing wrong. Why do I get kicked out without warning arbitrarily?
either bad mic, annoying voice, or they checked your profile and hated what they saw. sorry about that though, im sure you will find a group for you soon
Might have magic flute voice. It’s very distracting to play with someone who sounds like charley in a box.
Possible reasons:
- Annoying voice
- Cringey dialogue
- Bad player
- Unknowingly toxic
- Chronic interrupter
- Screeeeeeeech
- Static-y or feedback noise on mic
- No push-to-talk and annoying background noise
- Heavy breather
- Too negative
- Too positive
- Bad hero picks
- Distracting conversation
Fixable things:
Are you “eating” your mic? Do you have a pop filter? Are you peaking (is your DB gain turned all the way up?). Is your mic old? Do you have it on Push to talk or always on and your house is noisy or you tent to burp/fart/cough/sniff or make other such noise like having the game audio on speakers?
Either that or they’re just one of those people who only wants their friends in the group but still keeps said group as Public regardless
One of the listet reasons, or you are a female xD
No kidding, got kicked for this reason before
Can someone find all those people kicked for being too positive and send them my way? I accept this burden.
At some point, at least to me, it starts to sound and feel a little disingenuous. Like they’re “trying” too hard, and it ends up making me cringe. And maybe it’s just me because I’m generally pretty dour and serious, but it’s just too much for me to handle. I wouldn’t kick someone over it or anything, but I’d probably decline an invitation to play with them again.
There seems to be no way to adjust the mic intensity settings in the game.
