I can’t believe they did this to quick play! Why are they trying to force me to play ranked in order to play Overwatch the right way?
It is for 3 days and to have a big part of the player base test it out. I’m not a fan after like 8 games with only 2 being over 5m long. But it’s only a few days, it’s fine by me. Rather they get better data for a few days and hopefully scrap it
Because “it’s their way or the highway” you can tell that when Jeff left the power shifted from the based storytellers to the hapless control freaks.
Complete and utter incompetence in power.
Data!? Don’t make me laugh. This isn’t a study. They’re messing around as though it would fix anything.
“It can’t be my decisions. It’s quick play that’s broken.”
It’s the mentality of the people in charge.
Microsoft need to step in and fix it the hard way before it’s too late.
If you don’t like it, you should probably make a detailed and constructive post about the exact pieces that are a problem, a guess at what they are trying to solve with that mechanic, and then a suggestion on how to do it better.
The Boulder is rolling down the hill.
You can nudge it to the left or right, but you will rarely ever get it to stop.
If I was Chris Redfield, I would just punch that boulder. Problem solved.
Love that quote.
Let’s work with it. Clearly the boulder needs to go left, but there are people with cranes nudging it right at the instruction of people in charge.
They are going to nudge it off the cliff. There is no way they don’t.
You can stop it though in this situation there is no incentive to and this is probably one of the most beneficial decisions they have done in a while.
Try punching charging mauga first stop him then talk
Also I was trying this recently in a l4d2 mod, like I’m shooting it but you can certainly smash it with a melee weapon too
At least keep in mind, they’re not forcing you to interact with the boulder at all lol
So if this temporary shift over the weekend is that much of affront to you, just dont play. And I don’t mean that in a snarky "uninstall and never come back! kind of way… but in a “take it easy on yourself and dont let factors you cannot control be so upsetting” way
Imagine you favorite cinema franchise or TV show was great and you looked forward to it each week. Then they handed it over to somebody else and sometimes some episodes were good, but half the time it made no sense at all completely wasting your spare time.
That’s what goes on here. People get invested in something like Overwatch, then are forced to watch it and their plans crash and burn.
Sure you don’t care, but don’t dis people who do.
I think I’ll be playing paladins until January 14th
I will take this opportunity and find some grass to touch this weekend
Honestly, if you felt I was dissing you, that was not my intention, which is why I quoted what I said above.
The angle I’m approaching this from is "don’t let your disappoint fool you into thinking blizz is twisting your arm and making you play the game this weekend. " We all have plans we’re looking forward to get rained out, sometimes.
The devs really did smoke Crack before this hacked weekend.
I get some ppl don’t like the changes. I don’t either do far. But it’s 3 days. Play a different mode or game or do anything else for a weekend. It’s not a big deal.
Have not even logged into Ow2 and will not until the weekend is over, sad because it is -36c here and Ow always gets the blood pumping, but will have to find something else to entertain me.
Or they could use the tools they have already in game, and put the changes on an Experimental card. Not enough people playing it? Then maybe the changes aren’t as great as they think.
